Possible Evidence of Anime Network coming to basic cable

I too live in the Philly area. While i don't get digital cable i do get the basic service. Recently a few channels were juggled, as is apt to happen periodically. However this time there was something different. There was an extra one, namely ch. 69, which used to be a sports station. It may be safe to surmise that if the channel does well in its current format ch.69 will be the new home of the Anime Network.

Anime Channel well not be coming to basic cable anywhere. First, there are a lot of Digital Cable channels which are getting pretty good ratings and might make the move soon. Second, when the Anime Channel begins to will take a long time for it to catch on. I mean there aren't as many hardcore Anime fans as there are for other things (video games is one that comes to mind quickly.) Third, if it comes to basic cable its going to have a few shows which are hits. Everyone going to say NGE, but I don't know if that will appeal very much to the mainstream.

thats not evidence. theres just no way the Anime NEtwork will go to basic cable. and as someone already mentioned, theres a lot of channels that are getting high ratings, so the chances of the Anime Network going to this channel 69 is slim to none.

(speaking of which, AT&T Broadband cable just added The Golf Channel and the Food Network on regular cable)

As of now, no, due to a recent report that Comcast is merging with AT&T Bradband and that Comcast was the first to get it, so we may have to wait untill the merger with Comcast is complete.
