I am seriously worried here. I know that practically none of you really read my ranting posts concering the fate of Batman: Gotham Adventures, let alone reply, but PLEASE...Tell me I'm not the only one near tears! Ok, calm down Disney Boy...

Peterson and Levins have produced a handful of interesting issues, even though they've been writing the series for over 25 issues. Levins' art, though not terrible, doesn't fully capture the essence of the animated style. His faces need work, Batgirl needs to look less bunched-up proportions wise, Men's faces need to look different...! Am I the only one who wishes we could see Ty Templeton write and illustrate and issue??? All Peterson has done is reuse old story ideas like Perchance to Dream or Legends of the Dark Knight, write stories so simple and predictable that the artist need only devote the entire page to a single frame because nothing important is happening and then...as if the only people who read B: GA are under the age of ten, wrap the whole book up in a cutsie moral. Please, treat us like adults!!! Why do you think the sales are slumping??? This book is such a far cry from the show we've come to love and adore and an even further cry from the award winning publications that preceded it (The Batman Adventures, The Batman and Robin Adventures). Don't deny us having a few great issues just because you're too stubborn to admit that this book is not your niche! If you care an Iota about the fans, the series or the Bat himself, restore this book to it's former glory...bring back the masters!

I am glad that Catwoman will be back, but I don't want Levins to draw her, I don't want Peterson to write some politically correct, moral story about an orphan girl and her dolly who Catwoman has to save, or some other form of rubbish, and I don't want to be disappointed any more! I've had enough!

PLEASE, MR. GRAYSON, TELL ME HOW I CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH TY, OR RICK BURCHETT, OR ALUIR AMANCIO, OR BRET BLEVINS, OR MIKE MANLEY, OR CAMERON COOKE, AND A BETTER WRITER LIKE MR. PDSTORRIE OR TY, OR DINI...ANYONE!!!

I am really sorry about the seeming inappropriatenesss of what I have just written. I am only posting this in the hopes that some good will come of it. I respect Mr. Peterson and Mr. Levins and admire their talent and success, but I deeply wish that they could move on to other projects so The Batman Adventures can have the happy ending it deserves before it dies. We all know it's only a matter of time:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( (sniff)

Your title made me laugh-out-loud, so I read you long, "ranting post." Now, Im a bit confused. You're a fan of the comic, but you don't like the current writer and artist and since the comic isn't going to be around much longer, you want them replaced so the last few issues can be better. Is that right? Good luck.

I don't read comics with any consistancy, so I reall can't comment one way or the other. But, I've felt the same way when a tv show I liked changed for the worst and headed toward cancellation. Gargoyles springs to mind. Disney chganged the time and channel while dropping the mystical, swords and sorcery angle for a more stander action/adventure MO. Can you say bomb? What the hell were they thinking?!!

So, I wish you the best of luck. Take comfort in the knowledge that something else will come along. There's more good, diverting, entertainment yet to be born. Miller just finished a new Batman graphic novel, so that's something on the horizon...Justice league, etc.

#1, I'm REALLY looking forward to the new Miller Batman novel!

#2, Gargoyles is another tight show :) Hey, I'm Scottish, I gotta support my fellow countrymen... Honestly though, it was a great show, IMO. Another series I'd like to see on DVD...

I agree. Gargoyles on DVD would be excellent. Just give me that particular story arc I want...

I'm sorry pal but as far as I'm concerned, I think Levins does a neat job on the book. Ok, I may not be too fond of Peterson's stories and you itemized a few relevant points but hey, no need to get so worked up about it!

Wait and see. Attendre et espérer.

Yeah, I'm with Salvor. I think Levins does a fine job with the art. Peterson, on the other hand, should get the boot.
