Welcome to the new & improved Fun & Games board...
Before we get into the swing of things, I'd like to introduce everyone to your moderators. There've been a few little changes to it, but it's still the same faces you already know and love around the board. Joining Jack, Matt Hunter & Singin' Stray Cat will be our very own Bifurcated one, Tim TwoFace! He'll be filling the role of evil dual-personalitied megalomaniacal Moderator... so try to stay on his good side, whichever side that happens to be.
Now, the main changes to the board... the biggest problem we had were useless games that were only really good for padding one's post count. Let's face it, the "Two Syllable Sentence" game really isn't much fun... and the "Word the Rhymes with Orange" game leaves a lot to be desired... So, now, games that have no real entertainment value and just seem to be around to be padding ones post count will be deleted from the board. The whole idea of the board is for fun, not to post, post and post some more without putting any real thought into the post just so you can join on Monday and hit 6 zillion posts by Tuesday...
So, with that in mind... here are the basic games that will be leaving our F&G board graces (if you are seen starting any of these, the moderators are given permission to gather a crowd and have them each give you an atomic wedgie ;)):

*Three Word Story
*Letters Game
*Three Word Phrases
*One Word Story
*AIM Gossip Game
Okay... so that's actually taking a good chunk out of the board now, isn't it? So what's left? Well... that's where everyone comes into play. Like I said, we want the games to be fun and entertaining... something that people will look forward to checking the boards for. Ideas we've had in the past include the "Web Scavenger Hunt" as well as Trivia games. We will also be starting some new Trivia Contests and Crazy Choices games. Games that currently remain on the board are games we will encourage, like the Avatar rating threads. Here's a further list of ideas we're gonna run with, plus some possible explanations for anything that might leave you scratching your heads in wonder...
*Mafia
*Mad Libs
*Jeopardy/General Trivia
*Daily Trivia (will be a contest type thingy, with points awarded, etc...)
*RPG Games
*REAL story threads (one paragraph Minimum)
*Avatar/Location Ratings
*Moderated TV/Movie Games (ABC, otherstuff - titles can not be reused, we will keep track)
*Jokes/Riddles
*Six Degrees of Separation
*Funny Quotes
*Scenes From a Hat
*Logic Puzzles
*Avatar Contests (NOT RATINGS!!)
All posts in a thread should be at least a full sentence, unless it's the type of thing where it's not warranted. Moderators can, and will, combine any multiple posts made into one post.
Also, let's give EVERYONE a chance to play in the games... so, you aren't allowed to lurk around a thread and reply as soon as some one else does... we'd like you to wait until at least 4 other people have replied to the thread before you reply to it again.
We've put a lot of thought and effort into turning this board into something we want everyone to enjoy... not dread coming to, as has happened in the previous version(s) of the board. We value your input, and look forward to the increasing participation on the Fun & Games board.
