The awesome Comics2Film has put up an update on the upcoming Teen Titans series. It looks like we can expect to see Deathstroke be a regular fixture in the series as one of the nemesis for the teen supergroup. He will apparently mastermind alot of plans against the supergroup, and occasionally suit up to take on the team. Also, two charatcers called Thunder and Lightning will be making an appearance. More details can be found Here.

Cool! Now if they'd only put Vigilante on there as well.

It's good that they're staying faitful to the comics...somewhat...

Did you notice the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" remark? Yee-eesh...

Robin (badly dubbed): "You have disgraced my honor, Deathstroke. Prepare to die!"

Deathstroke: "I think not, Mr. Robin. It is you who shall meet death's open gate!"

*both characters fly in the air in slow motion battling with their...swords*

Like VortexInfinite stated it is nice to see the new series staying faithful to the comic's history. Deathstroke is a big TT baddie so hopefully he will be like his comic counterpart. I really enjoyed Deathstroke in Justice League's "Enemy Below". I'm getting more excited to see this show launch in the Fall :D

Sweet! Deathstroke might make up for some of the bad animation TT is getting.

All I know is that Wolfman is writing an episode for Teen Titans which introduces Aqualad.

Great news . Deathstroke The Terminator is one of the best Titans villains ever. In the comics he was contracted to capture The Titans for The H.I.V.E. . I wonder if this will be his premise in the series as well.Hes like a evil Captain America due to him being enhanced by a supersoldier type serum . Extremly smart and skilled hes even managed to give old Bats a beatdown in the comics. I cant wait to see him animated.

Weren't Thunder and Lightning in the comics? I seem to remember something vague about them. Did the have an alien father who posed on earth as a human or something? I was thinking that they were heroes...can't remember though...I'll have to dig through my mountain-sized comic collection. I'd probably never find it though.

By the way, it's auesome Deathstroke's gonna be in it...can't wait to see them engage in combat...hope Trigon's in it as well.

Ok, Thunder and Lighting are the sons of a extraterrestrial (alien)and a Vietnamese woman. In the comics they had problems controling there powers and were trying to find their father (who happened to be a prisoner of The HIVE ) because it was beleived he could help them. Thunder can control thunder and has super strength while Lightning controls lightning and can ride bolts of it through the sky. They are also able to communicate to each other telepathically.

Great, Deathstroke is a very cool comics villian and hopefully he will be an equally great TT:TAS villian. This show is sounding much better!

Ah, yes...it's almost all coming back to me...I have a comic or two with them somewhere, but I don't know where...(Actually I do know where. but I'd have to dig through comics to find it)

I seriously hope this un- DC Bruce Timm cartoon is worth watching cause I was very dissapointed with Tim Drake's compltely new costume & face appreance. It's just not the same for me at all. Well I'll be a little amused if this new series is not commercalized lookin as JL looks & I despise the commercalized look, even though it isn't a solo Batman Bruce Timm cartoon.

What do you mean by "commercialized?" Superman's "S" replaced by the DC Comics logo? Batman with a Pizza Hut logo on his chest? Wonder Woman drinking Coca-Cola between fights? I don't understand...

Actually if you read any comics the Robin design used for Teen Titans is the same design (expect the metal plated boots) used in the comics. Another thing what do you mean by commercalized??? Not to be rude but can you give better examples???

Well, the new character designs do look a bit Disney-like.

21st century Disney or 90's Disney? Becaues if it's the latter you're comparing it to, I don't see what the problem is. Disney produced some good stuff back then.

And, personally, I don't see a likeness to either myself. They're each distinctly Bruce Timm.

What I mean by the word "commercalized" is the whole series to me is not beautifully styleized & classic lookin as TNBA was. Even though they look styleized to where they look a little animeish, I not sure I just perfer the classic styleized work in TNBA instead of the moderinized so wrong anime style they added in Teen Titan's.

Okay Marika Segal you made your points clear but I really think that alot of people start to throw rocks and stones at the DC cartoon that is not produce by Timm. I think change is good but I know others don't. What makes Teen Titans bad??? The only thing that people have againist it is the designs and thats it. We haven't seen the show yet. Lets make a final judgement when the show comes out. I really think people should just let go of the fact that some shows are not going to be worked on by Bruce Timm. It's just nonsense.

Oh yeah by the way this post is not directed to Marika Segal.

Well, in the Titan group picture I saw the characters all look like kids, are smiling and look a bit on the cute, kid friendly side.

On the other hand, Batman Beyond looks like a young adult, rarely if ever smiles, and is a bit scary looking.

Verdict:
I think the Titans would go better on a Burger King glass, alongside Buzz Lightyear, etc.

You are comapring two different shows that are based on two different genres. Batman Beyond is very dark and serious but Teen Titans is bright and humor but still with alot of action. The comic Teen Titans back in the golden age was very bright and kiddie. I just don't think people should always compare every DC cartoon to Batman cause every shows has a different appeal and atmosphere.

I was just trying to show why I think the Titans look Disney-fied. It's fine if they want to go with that kind of more kid-friendly approach, but it doesn't interest me. I prefer more serious heros like Justice League, Batman, or Spider-man.

Well I hope It's very action packed at least. I just predicting that I won't like it, since directed to the little kid's but you never know, I could by surprise could turly love the show. Even though Timm is not doing the show, but hey however is inchard of the show, they could become a big hit with the show or even better than Timm ever was. Those are just possiblity's but you never know.

Okay, well Mr. Timm didn't do Batman,Superman,Beyond or even JL for that matter all by himself. He had help from Alan Burnett,Paul Dini and Glenn Mikamura(spelled wrong?) the latter of the three has helped produce Beyond and JL. Just to let you know.

And Glen Murakami is the lead producer on Titans.
