Has the first human clone been created or not?

Not. I think it's a hoax, a good one, but a hoax.

I'm gonna say no Eve. But hey, I'll believe it when I see the proof.

I say no. I understand why they would want to keep it a secret before it happened, but to just say "We did it" sounds sneaky.

I could care less. I don't see the big deal over cloning, just as long as it isn't done to harvest human body parts. If a couple cannot have a child and creating a clone is a viable alternative for them, then I say go for it. Beats the hell out of crack moms popping out crack baby after crack baby just for more welfare money and my taxes going up to support the bastards (and I mean that in the true definition of the word, not as a curse).

the first clone created should be named Evil, not Eve.... I don't think it's happened yet though.

Let's see, these Raelian guys are at least a little crazy so...I'm gonna go with "not" until there's some kinda evidence. :p For all we know, they might've "cloned" this lady using a flashlight, pencils and a potato.

Since the technology is there and you know someone wants to be the first, I'd say the probability is high... yes. Will "Eve" survive? I think she'll have a lot of health problems because she's the first.
As for her name, "Eve" is a nicknamed dubbed on her by the cloners, of course, to signify that she's a first. Her real name is something else. Be that as it may, Eve is not evil. She didn't clone herself, she merely exists. If you're gonna label someone evil, aim it at her cloners.
Personally, I don't think there is any evil involved... stupidity, yes, but not evil... but that's another thread. :)

Well, its looking more and more likely that this is a hoax:

When this sort of thing is reported, I can only hope it's a hoax, in part because, to quote MILatino, "I think she'll have a lot of health problems." The potential health risks (which could lead to VERY early death) introduced by genetic engineering and the like don't convince me that it's a better option than, say, adoption, which is also a "viable" option. And it doesn't involve experimenting with a defenseless person. Maybe not as satisfying to people who make a living off this sort expirament, or to people who want to make believe they can actually have their own children, but a lot more humane, I'd say. At this early stage, I feel that this sort of thing is thoughtless, selfish cruelty, at best.
But to answer the question (do you think it's true) more directly, well, I'd only believe it when the health problems start, or irrefutable proof appears.

The technology exists, so it's possible. I'm undecided either way until I hear some concrete proof.
I've had an encounter with these Raelian guys - met a couple of them outside a bookstore where they briefly spoke to me about aliens creating mankind and then tried to sell me a couple of books. I quickly walked away - and almost crashed straight straight into a Scientologist guy who offered me a free personality test. Aaaarrgggghhh!!!

Fake. This has too many similarites w/ a X-Files episode. In one episode, scientists used alien technogy to create a bunch of female clones called Eve. The episode name is Eve 6, I believe. So these "scientists", who can't even figure out how to get a decent dye job, are nothing more than X-Files geeks who want attention. I bet they will charge admission for people who want to see Eve.
"Come see Eve, for the end is near! You only have to pay $10,000. And for an extra $5,500 we'll let you touch her!"
HELL NO! Have you see the way the group looks...bunch of idiots. And no proof yet...obviously a hoax.
you know...if I was the guy who could clone a human and I had the power to do it, I would have done it. There is prolly some little giggling clone baby out there.
