As of today (December 30), my cable comapny has added Boomerang to its digital cable channel lineup. Magilla Gorilla was the first show I saw on Boomerang, and watched about five minutes of the 7PM airing. Looks like now I'll have to worry less about CN's constant cutbacks on classic animated cartoons! Unfortunately, there are still many cable companies that have yet to carry Boomerang yet. Let's hope that they do sometime soon! :)

I heard that once you get it, you can't get rid of it.
I've got nothing against the classics, but Boomerang is composed entirely of those cheesy 60's Hanna-Barbera cartoons that they made so many of. If you like those, then that's good, but I just can't see how they managed to keep making those things without going bankrupt. :p

The early HB cartoons are generally brilliant. When you get into the period from around '67 on, yes they got cheesy. But there's a lot of gold in the earlier shorts. After all, I'd expect no less from Mike Maltese and Warren Foster.

I only like Ruff N Reddy, the earliest from Yogi, Huck and the gang (I loved them when they were the most simple), early Scooby, and HB action (Birdman etc.) The rest of HB is kind junky

You don't like The Flintstones? The first three seasons are great TV in my book.

I still don't have Boomerang, although they no longer air the 2-hour blocks of classic cartoons that made me want it in the first place. It would still be nice to get.

oops, forgot about them. They are good too. I mainly watch Boomerang for the Jay Ward and Total TV stuff anyway. Just wish they would start airing George Of The Jungle and Hoppity Hooper.

Boomerang is awesome. They aired a pretty cool Porky marathon last september (2002), and if you get sick of june bugs, boomerang is there with Daffy's Revenge. they show no commericals (except for an occational toonami plug).

Today, Boomerang had a whole 24 hours of Tom & Jerry shorts (though 2 hours were taken away with the Tom & Jerry Movie). They do show a LOT of 60s and 70s HB cartoons, but I only watch it for things like Looney Tunes, Pink Panther, Tom & Jerry and also Popeye/Droopy (which deserve more airtime)
