Oswald the Rabbit on Movieola!

I was surprised to see several original Oswald The Rabbit cartoons turn up on Moviola today. The Disney cartoons Great Guns, Mechanical Cow and Oh Teacher! were redubbed by Walter Lantz for sound, and an original sound Lantz cartoon, The Plumber, was also shown. I had never seen either a Disney or a Lantz Oswald before.

There are also big blocks of UB Iwerks Comicolor cartoons and a slew of Van Beuren oldies. Even Gumby appears this week! Catch it if you possibly can!

Sorry...Moviola is a short film channel in Canada. In addition to short filoms of various types, they also run classic cartoons and silent 2 reelers. They sometimes have some rare stuff!

I don't have Moviola at home, but we do have it at work. I'm going to start taping these shows while I'm at work, and I'll make them available to whoever wants them.
