Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy will be villains in the upcoming third season of Kids' WB!'s Static Shock.

The pair will be featured in what will likely be the season opener as Static teams up with Batman. It will mark the second animated meeting of the characters; Batman and Robin were featured in the second season of the show.

Unlike last season, this season's Batman episode will be focused in Gotham City.

Kids' WB! has not announced when the third season will begin - it is expected next month - or what time period Static Shock will occupy.

Static has already battle bat-villians in a previous episode and it's time for him to work with other heroes like the Justice League. Can't wait for that episode. When will the season start?

When I frist saw Static, I thought it was kind off korney & not my taste at all at frist, but now I think the show is OK. Problabally the second season of it made the show just a little bit more exciting I think. Hope the third season is greater than all of the frist two Static seasons!!

Eww. I'll take guest appearances now and then (Batman in Static. I'd never want Static in a Batman show). Static is just too corny and bright. Not to mention, in a parallel universe to DC. It just doesn't work for me.

In the comics, yes Static takes place in an alternate reality to DC (dubbed the "Milestone Universe" I believe). But in the animated universe, Static does indeed take place in the same universe as Batman does. And the third season definatly promises to be a bit more darker than the past two seasons. Static is getting older and he's going to be dealing with a few new problems to say the least.

I'm really looking forward to the third season of this series. Aside from the Batman and Justice League appearances, the whole season promises to be probably the best of the series, so far.

Sorry, not a Static fan. But I will watch the Justice League cross over, and this Harley/Ivy cross over. They better not use Ivey's TNBA design. That thing was horrid.

I'm a big fan of Static Shock and am really looking forward to the latest crossover. Not only will this season by darker but the crossovers sound very cool IMO. I am really hoping to see a newer Ivy design but don't know if we'll get to see one.

I hoping for The Riddler, but instead got the equally good duo of Harley and Ivey. Well, I guess I should expect this seeing is how we got that cameo of Harley in The Big Leagues. I hope we get to see more of Gordon and Bullock. I can't wait for season 3 start and I hope that we get to see The Riddler in the next crossover.

I can't wait for the third season, I've always enjoyed the show, though I've also felt it hasn't been what it could be, I eagerly await what they have to show. I'm up in the air about Static's new costume, and gviing Richie powers, but you can't really judge these things 'til you see them in action. So, hurry up, Kids WB !! :D

I can't remember when or where I read it, but didn't Timm or someone say that fans easyly can consider the Batman appearance on Static as out of continuity, just like Batman Beyond?

I think what he is trying to say is that Static can do crossovers with Batman and Superman without the excuse of going from the Milestone Universe to the DC Universe which was in the comics.

I mean you can still say that Static is in a alternate reality like BB, but he can have crossovers with other heros without changing dimensions or what not.

They will, althought slightly modified - much like how Batman and Robin were - to fit the Static universe. Although word has it that the series itself's artwork is being streamlined just a tad more, as well. And the Batman guest-starring episode is expected to use his "JL" design.

You've gotta be kidding me. Everything is just so different. I always considered static to take place in the same universe as the Zeta Project (in the past, of course). But Zeta is in the same universe as Batman Beyond, so that nixes that theory. I just think Static is to campy to be in a universe where events like Apokolips... Now! and Mask of the Phantasm took place.

This season is expected to be darker which someone also posted, but besides all of that SS has its moments like in Jimmy or in Frozen Out as well as a few other episodes can compare or even pass some of the tragic events that have happened in Superman or Batman.

Hold Up, Superman and Batman both had their fair share of campiness well throughout both of their series.

I could easily see the series taking place within the same continuity. Perhaps the easiest way to demonstrate this would be to look at the entire DC universe where you have titles like Superman, Batman and (the now cancelled) Major Damage all occurring within the same continuity. The differences in the shows provides a look at places that the Batman and Superman series didn't cover - after all we never saw a fallout from Legacy in BTAS so why should we expect one in Static Shock?

As a big Static Shock fan I'm really looking forward to seeing the new season start (now if we could only get Kids WB to air the couple of unaired episodes from seasons 1 and 2).

I agree, I don't have any problem at all with Static being in the same animated universe as Batman. And I didn't see it as otherwise simply because of the overall brighter story and animation tone. We shouldn't judge things based on looks alone. Besides, it's not like they're partners or anything. An occasional, meaningfull guest appearance once in a while has no harm in it, I'd say.

And I can't wait to see/hear :harley: and Ivy again.

I just hope I'm not dumb enough to miss out on the episode's premiere. :p Well, I AM dumb enough, but what I'm saying is, I hope it doesn't happen....

Why don't they just get rid of Static and call it another episode of Batman? :)
