I'll bet it has to do with that the last 50,000 were released in Canada...

Mickey: 086,545
Behind the Scenes: 069,157

My last year's ones were in the 100,000's.

My mom is making me wait till my birthday (New Year's Eve) to un-wrap Wave 2 :( , so I don't know my numbers yet.

That's all right. Just wait till your birthday and you can tell us then (I'll bet that's what you were planning on doing anyway but I'm just letting you know we don't mind). :)

I got my copy of "The Complete Goofy" last night and spent two happy hours watching stuff I haven't seen in years.

I hope to get the B/W & Color Mickey, Silly Symphonies and Behind The Scenes volumes (don't care for the Disneyland or Davy Crockett stuff).

My "Complete Goofy" number is 055189.

You can pay a mouse's ransom (about $60  ) to an Amazon.com reseller like I did  , or petition Disney to reissue it without the numbered tin. Maybe if enough people ask they'll do it. I think they're going to find out that the good stuff just might be a cash cow for them.

Complete Goofy - 6083 (bought at Circuit City 12/26)

For those that are interested, all the Treasure series is still available at the Disney store (disneystore.com) @ $22.79 each.

I ordered BOTH Mickeys and Silly Symphonies on 12/27.
The Mickeys shipped 12/31 and Silly Symphonies is backordered, but to ship in 3 weeks (when the new batch arrives)

Sure beats most other places prices and Disney store uses a "live" inventory system, so they can tell you if it is in stock or not.

Not all there web pages are accurate though, so select the DVD you want and then check the shopping cart to see if it is really in stock or not or when it will be available.

Silly Syphonies: 32,201 out of 150,000

Mickey Mouse In Living Color: 60,442 out of 150,000

Disneyland USA: 75,191 out of 150,000

Davy Crockett: n/a out of 150,000 (I passed on this)

Mickey Mouse in Black & White: 61,696 out of 125,000

Behind The Scenes At Disney Studios: 39,388 out of 125,000

The Complete Goofy: ___ out of 125,000 (need to buy)

Just for information's sake... I purchased Silly Symphonies and Mickey Mouse in Living Color from Movies Unlimited (gift certificate), bought Disneyland USA from a Best Buy on New Year's Eve in 2001, bought Behind The Scenes... and Mickey in B&W from Wal-Mart (!)

I'll probably purchase The Complete Goofy from amazon.com if I don't see it at a store soon. Davy Crockett isn't my cup of tea, but I may purchase if I see it starting to get rare.

And I'll be first in line to get Wartime Cartoons and the educational cartoons.

Oh yeah...I was just thinking it would be neat. Heck, I'd be happy with a DVD single with just Donald in Mathmagic Land.

I got Silly Symphonies and Living Color for $20 each just a couple months ago. When I got Goofy and B&W, they were the last copies, so they are selling like SpongeBob and Spider-Man merchandice.
