I voted Star Wars, I can watch any of those at the drop of a hat and always be entertained. I love Indiana Jones too, but Temple of Doom weakens its trilogy power. Die Hard I can't watch too many times, especially the first one since its so dated - wish I would have realised this before I bought the DVD set!

JURASSIC PARK! Long live dinosaurs! Especially JP1...the classic one. ;)
....and the other trilogies do not intrest me or I never saw; which is why I vote JP. But Star Wars woulda been second, only because of the scene when the Emperor dies in eppy 6...
"Other" trilogy? Sounds good; know where I can rent it? (BAD PUN ALERT! ;) )

Oooh man, Buffoon, that was drenched! :)
I gotta go for Star Wars. I saw the 3 films when they were rereleased in theatres a few years ago for the umpteenth time, and still had an absolute blast :D

It would have to be................Star wars. I love that movie to death, JP would come in at a close second though. The Indy movies were pretty good, so they would be next.

Hey, you forgot the Godfather trilogy. I know it's completely different from the ones you mentioned, but the Godfather trilogy probably represents the greatest movies ever made.

Indiana Jones, man. The three movies were consistently better. Lucas gets off on these tangents where he's gotta work with Muppets and put in lame ass song numbers and Jar Jar Binks. I know that Jar Jar is not in the original trilogy, but the man who thought that was a good idea does not deserve my vote. Indiana Jones is more enjoyable in every movie.

I haven't seen a single Godfather movie. I'm not interested in mob stuff.
Other trilogies:
Police Story(Jackie Chan.)
I like all of these movies. The first is a cult classic, with some wonderful action and stunt sequences.
The second has some inspired fight choreography, but lacks the impact of the first.
The third is "Supercop" w/ Michelle Yoe. This one is better than the second but not a good as the first. It's the most campy of the three, but that quality works toward it's advantage. The interaction between Chan and Yoe (though devoid of sexual tension) is effective on a juvenile level, as they each have their own ways of doing things and enjoy putting each other on the spot and one-uping the other.
(If you include "First Strike," which I believe is in the series continuity, there are four films. But, "First Strike" is much different and feels outside the realm of the others.)
My favorite triology is the Batman triology (Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever) I don't consider Batman & Robin as a Batman movie. Batman & Robin is the "Batman version of Spaceballs" :p

My favorite trilogy would have to be Back to the Future. I also like Star Wars, but I've only seen the first one.

Star Wars. Indiana Jones, as someone else said, was weakened by Temple of Doom. While it was overall fun, parts of it were just bad. I haven't see any of the Die Hards. I only saw JP 1 and 2, and 2 stunk to high heaven so I didn't bother with 3. I heard that 3 is terrible, and even if it wasn't 2 would drag down the trilogy so much it definitely could not win my vote.
Lucas gets off on these tangents where he's gotta work with Muppets and put in lame ass song numbers and Jar Jar Binks.
That kind of confuses me, Calhoun. But I liked the use of the Muppets in the original trilogy, they looked much more realistic to me than the CGI. I saw part of one of the Star Wars movies the other day and was just amazed at how life-like Yoda looked, it was absolutely incredible during the scene where he pulls Luke's ship out of the swamp muck. If I didn't know better, I'd swear he was real. As far as song numbers...well, I didn't have a problem with Jabba's music or the bar music, I dunno what you are talking about there exactly. And while Jar Jar wasn't a good idea, I can't count that against the original 3, doing that just doesn't make sense to me.

That's the way I felt, too, until I saw the movies. They really are great movies. Incredible acting, particularly by Al Pacino. All the other movies in my top ten favorites are nothing like the Godfather movies, so even I'm surprised. But at some point, you should give them a try, just to see what they're like. I think you'll be surprised.

This is nuts to me...........
I voted for Die Hard.
First of all, Die Hard is one of the best written action flicks of all time, adding everything from character development to suspense and action and a great villain and twists and turns and a great buddy cop stuff (between Bruce and the cop outside the building), a great conclusion.......hell it even creates a Christmas feeling in me due to the opening and closing music. Die Hard is considered a screenplay to be studied by action screenwriters everywhere. I'm sure somewhere Star Wars is studied somewhere too (by fantasy writers perhaps), but bruce Willis's portrayal of a tough cop who, while doesn't like it, has a job to do, is AWESOME and better than any other damn Star Wars character (that includes the Star Wars's characters acting abilities in that series). I feel for John McClane in that movie. I do not "feel" for Luke Skywalker in star wars dang it!
Secondly, The sequels, although not as good as the first due to the fact that any further character development went right out the freaking window, were still GREAT SEQUELS!
I have friends that consider Die Hard 2 to be the best. I disagree saying it's still part 1 that's the best, but that shows it was a succesful sequel. "Yippe Kyah Motherfu......" at the end of Die Hard 2 IS AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME (right after he blows up the plane)
And I REALLY enjoyed the switch to New York and adding Sam Jackson in part 3. I happen to think Die Hard 1 was the best. Die Hard 3 was the second best, and Die hard 2 was my least favorite.
I really like how Die Hard changes settings in each movie. The first is a building in Cal. The second is an airport in a snowy village. The third is slam-bang NYC. All the planets in Star Wars seem so...........ah "who cares" like. Every planet is different but does it really do anything? I dont enjoy fantasies where the real world isn't seen in the beginning (ala the Matrix......AWESOME). I think fantasy movies are more successful when the real world is seen FIRST, and then the audience is brought to the fantasy world. I know this would never work with SW, but I still think it gives the audience some famaliarity first and makes the whole transition better.
Anyhow, I vote for Die Hard. The writing is something George Lucas needs to study (when it comes to "real people").
As for Indiana Jones, I must admit, I have not see them all, so I can't comment on that. But I really think I would still like Die Hard over Indiana due to what I know about the series (I only saw "The Last Crusade"-good, but I liked Die hard better over it still)
And as for Jurassic Park..........please dont make me throw up. Jurassic Park took a leap off a cliff after the first installment. Like the "remake" of Planet of the Apes, all the intriguing questions and philosophies that the first movie raised was tossed aside for more action in the second and third. The story no longer progresses, much like the Die Hards, I give you, but I still think Die Hard 2 and 3 is more enjoyable to watch than JP 2. I didn't even bother seeing JP3 due to the fact that it was clear the series has ABSOLUTELY NO STORY ANY MORE.

Die Hard RULES! A real guy in crazy situation wins me.

My favorite trilogy is by far the Police Story series. It's Jackie Chan at his best, especially the first one. Another one is the Once Upon A Time In China series. Jet Li at his best. Then there's the A Better Tomorrow series. John Woo and Chow Yun Fat in the movies that every action film has tried to copy from.
I also must give a nod to The Naked Gun movies. They are all funny and some lines are absolute classics. The other movies up for vote are awesome too. Well, except for Jurassic Park. The first one was great. but 2 and 3 drag it down. Back to The Future was also cool. Indiana Jones was great, as was Star Wars. Evil Dead was cool. BRUCE CAMPBELL RULES!!!!!!!

Indiana Jones!
I've never seen the third Star Wars movie (I know, I know...bad Fan! How could you!), and the Indiana Jones movies are great. Temple of Doom isn't that bad. The girl is annoying, but Shorty rocks.

The Die Hard trilogy was good, but I would only call the first movie great. The second was a great sequel, but lacked something. It didn't have the magic of the first. The third one was kind of forgettable. Not in the sense that it was bad or anything, but it just doesn't stand out in any way compared to other great action movies. Actually Die Hard 2 doesn't really stand out either.
In my opinion, the Lethal Weapon movies were better because each one improved on the previous. The friendship between Riggs and Murtaugh tightened with each movie, and the addition of a new character each time was great (particularly Pesci's character). And in addition to the great action, the humor was fantastic throughout the series.

-"The Naked Gun"
-"Beverly Hills Cop"
Favorite series (more than 3 movies): "Lethal Weapon"
And now a disclaimer, bought to you by Coca-Cola:
I haven't seen the "Godfather" movies, and I haven't bothered to watch the "Die Hard" trilogy since the attacks on September 11th. I haven't seen the "Evil Dead" movies. I haven't viewed the "Indiana Jones" movies all the way through. I don't care for the "Star Wars" movies. I haven't seen any of the "Nightmare On Elm Street" or "Friday the 13th" movies.

Aww, poor Capt'. ;)
If any of you would by chance meet me in real life, you'd notice that I say many quotes from Die Hard and The Godfather (and that Saturday Night Live sketch with Kevin Spacey doing Star Wars auditions, but let's not go into that right now). The fact is, I have never seen one second of those. It's actually my dad who's seen them; he's like a human tape recorder. If he hears a line (or two, or twenty) that he likes from a movie, he'll start using it every day...over and over....again and again...until it becames permanently lodged inside my brain.
That be my useless fact for the day. :D
