Hey all,

Like many of you, I am trying to get as close to a complete WB short collection as possible. I have been doing pretty well. I am down to missing about a dozen and a half cartoons. Most of these I know are darned near impossible to get ahold of but I was hoping some of you might have at least one or two (or more) on this list and are willing to do a tape trade or something like that.

Classic Era 1929-1969 MM/LT
Hocus Pocus Pow Wow
Hippety Hopper
Injun Trouble (1969)
Norman Normal
Nuts and Volts
Porky'sAnt
Tom Tom Tomcat
WestwardWhoa

1990's Cartoons
Another Froggy Evening
Daffy Duck for President
Father of the Bird
Little Go Beep
Pullet Surprise

Special Projects
90 Day Wondering
Adventures of the Road Runner
Door, The
Drafty, Isn't It?
Hitch in Time
Orange Blossoms for Violet
Philbert (Three's A Crowd)
So Much For So Little

Thanks for your time and any assistance would be appreciated.

Actually, did they even make "Daffy Duck for President"? I know they were talking about making it, but I think it went the way of that rumored Bugs short that would be a parody of "Carmen."

There's no listing at IMDb for this short...although I'll admit I'm itching to see "Pullet Surprise" myself. I'm a Foghorn Leghorn fan, and I read that Frank Gorshin is the voice of Foggy. I never knew the man had such range! Hopefully his is at least better than Billy West's, who just can't quite get his voice deep enough for those South Carolina undertones....

You're right. Despite mentions in some WB press releases, it doesn't look like Chuck Jones' "Daffy Duck For President" ever got made.

Once...but I'll have to see "From Hare to Eternity" again and compare it with Maurice LaMarche's or Jim Cumming's interpretations. I'd say Gorshin's falls between those two, with Cummings' in first place and LaMarche's in last.

OK. So I can delete "Daffy Duck for President" from my needed list since it has apparently never been made.

How about the other cartoons on my list?

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

peter

I saw "Pullet Surprise" in theaters in 1997, playing before some WB family film (I forget which one, though...), and all I remember is that Frank Gorshin did a pretty good Foghorn Leghorn.

Cat's Don't Dance. March 1996
They showed it before the feature.
Did it get released with the feature on video?
The "Roger Rabbitt" shorts that preceded "Honey I Shrunk" were included in the video release.

I had CDD on video, and Pullet Surprise was not on the video. And it was actually released in March 1997.
