In the name of the moon I punish you (http://www.the-magicbox.com/game122002c.htm)! :D

During battles, you can use the Dress Sphere to change the job class and costume of the character. There is a short transformation sequel when you use the dress sphere, similar to the transformation scene in cartoons like Sailormoon. In the images below, you can see Yuna transform from a gunner to a fighter, and the "active mode" also changed to "wait mode".

*Sigh*

I hope somehow that this game gives me a reason to play it, because it's just not happening right now.

Wow. Square sure is changing things up a bit for this game, but it seems like it's for the better. First the return of the ATB system and now this?

Now I can finally turn Yuna into the fighter she was always meant to be. Forget the freakin' Aeons, Yuna's bustin out with Tidus' Brotherhood this time around! :D

Betting that Sony will censor the transformation sequences.

There's nothing to censor.

I had the same problem. Use a download program like GetRight, or something.

Just joking. But is this a new direction? A new standard in all FF games?

Rikku transforming with skimpy outfits=nice.

ATB=not nice.

There are never really "standards" in a FF game, nowadays Square changes things up with every new game in the series so I doubt you'll see these changes in other FF games. That is unless most fans embrace the changes.

ATB=not nice.

How so? The ATB system has been used in most FF games, they only recently took it out for FFX. I like it personally because it makes the game a little bit more challenging, which is a good thing for FFX2 considering FFX was very linear. Plus, the battles in X went by way to quickly.

Battles going by too quickly? I've never heard anyone complain about that. In VII it still remained quick but became ridiculous in XIII and IX. You would put in the command, wait for the character to go into their attack stance, then wait for them to run at the enemy and hit (some with extra animation for no reason, does Quistis have to twirl a whip to hit someone?) then jump back. Then about 8 seconds later the next person would attack. In VII and recently X the would run in hit and run out, no unneeded time wasted. It wouldn't be such a big deal if FF didn't have such a large random battle encounter rate. And I don't know about you but I hated when I would put in the command just to watch the enemy go first. It's great when I'm trying to heal a nearly dead person.

But is it possible that the problem was load time on the PS1? The added animation florishes probably made it harder to load smoothly--just a guess.

Could be, but I still would've like FFX's engine again. It made you use all the characters instead of just overusing 3 of them.
