Thanks again to those of you who showed your concern. The good news out of the surgery is that they took a lot less of his leg than they thought they would have to. He may even get to go home early, maybe by Christmas day. Crossing my fingers...

When it rains, it pours- more GREAT news! My dad is now out of the hospital and resting at home. The doctor liked what he saw and said he could spend the rest of the day at home with us!
