Remember, these episodes were shown on Fox Kids, so the jokes suck and they couldn't swear. There should be some episodes that are made for Adult Swim, later on. Only livingfruitvirus knows. :D

Nope.

You'll just have to live with other people having different tastes than you.

If it aired on Fox Kids then why is it on Adult Swim? That would be like putting Rugrats on CC. And how come it was on Fox Kids if it is rated TV-PG? Or did they just rate that for the show since its on Adult Swim..?

It's on AS since their going to be new episodes made for AS.

Since CN doesn't want people know the early episodes were made for kids, they put the rating there.

Oh..well IMO the show still sucks, Aqua Teen Hungerforce is better, so is Sealab2021 :D

CC did air The Tick.

There are some bits you're viewing on CN that FOX (and maybe Teletoon. i dunno. but FOX for sure) edited out. Also 2 episodes FOX banned. 1 of which Teletoon also banned.

am i the only one who finds it weird that adult swim ordered another season of "Ripping Friends" despite mediocre ratings and a general sense of dislike among the hardcore adult swim fans (ie, people on this board)?

No. But at least it's been shoved down to the 1:00 timeslot in January. I wonder if they waited to get some ratings in before they ordered the new episodes?

They ordered the new episodes before any of the Fox ones even aired. They're probably trying to get as much new material for as cheap as possible, what with the weekday schedule coming up.

I saw one last night, it was new and uncut..whatever that means, but they didn't know what kissing is and they got girlfriends for the first time. Damn, that show really sucks. Does anyone know why its getting new episodes, does it even have good ratings?

I too watched the show for the first time last night. It wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. I mean with all the comments I've heard about the show, I thought it was going to be somewhat enjoyable. Oh well, I still have ATHF and Sealab 2021 to watch:)

-Mitsuko Sealab2021 and ATHF are much better than The Ripping Friends, so is The Brak Show, that is funny.

Yes, I forgot about the Brak Show:o! That has to be one of my favorites on Adult Swim Comedy! For some reason I like Zorak, he's just too hilarious!

I caught the episode last night as well. Most of it sucked, but I liked the "Ripping time" segment at the end. How they were complaining about manuals being too hard to read and they made it seem like the people who write the manuals are purposely trying to confuse people. Do they have a "ripping time" segment at the end of every episode? If they're all as funny as this one I might watch it.

It just seems like whoever is writing these things is burned out, or has too much on his mind. I remember reading once that John K wouldn't let annyone who couldn't draw, write.

If he's still doing that, or maybe he's decided to write, direct, produce, fight the executives, etc.. all by himself, then it's really showing.

The short subjects at the end are way better than the 20 or so minutes of episode.

I saw the girlfriend epiode last night and it was painful to sit through...but the manual guys was funny.

Hey John... it's not gonna kill you to hire a writer... you can beat him with a stick if he comes up with stuff that's undrawable!!! CN will let you..just make sure it's in the contract.

Just to qualify my comments, I still think that John K. is one of the best animators/director...(whatever the correct title is) out there. Just PLEASE GET A FREAKING WRITER!!!!!

Jhonen DOES Rule. He Should Do An Original Series On AS.

As For RF, If You Quietly Leave Now, You Will Not Be Hurt...

After the abominations that were The Indigestible Wad and the other two or three episodes I saw at the beginning of its run, last Sunday's episode was positively good in comparison.

though the show hasn't reached a level of good, or mediocre, i would agree that last week's episode was a lot more, um... bearable, than something like "The Indigestable Wad".

based on the argument that these episodes were created for Fox Kids, ill give the show another chance when the new "adult" episodes come out in january.
