With Christmas and the holidays upon us, I thought it would be fun to put up some holiday-themed talkbacks for the board. So, over the next three days, we'll have talkbacks up - one a day - for The Batman Adventures #28, Batman & Robin Adventures #3, and - on Christmas Eve - The Batman Adventures Holiday Special (Sadly, there are no Superman Adventures, Batman Beyond, or Justice League holiday episodes or comics). Also, the talkbacks for Christmas with the Joker and Holiday Knights will be pushed up on Christmas Eve. Without furthur adieu - let's begin!

It was a pretty good ep. Harley's fake accent was funny, and her playing a doctor was funny as well. I'll have to go reat it and put up some more comments.

Well...

Quite a special issue! If I'm correct, it's the only story, animated or otherwise, in which we see Harley kiss Mistah J - and in this tale...well that would be spoiling the surprise! Actually, the first dozen times I read the issue, the "surprise" (which is actually given away pretty early) caught me totally off-guard...but I guess that was more of a maturity thing. Now that I'm older, I can see the twist coming a mile away, not that it takes away from the issue at all though! The story is a gem, and the art rocks!

Has anyone else noticed that Doctor Joan Leland is constantly mis-colored? In this issue she's white, and in Mad Love she's black. What's with the constant inconsistancy?

Either way, it's a really nice read, and, for once, Joker and Harley don't try to kill one another during the course of the tale.

Just so you know there's already a talkback for B&RA #3 unless you mean your bumping it up.

I found this issue to be a fun read. Kelley knew how to write both serious and comedic stories, and this was one of his best comedic stories. We got some great spoof lyrics and some hilarious one-liners in this tale. Puckett's contributions to the animated mythos was amazing!

And then the artwork by one of my major inspirations, Mike Parobeck. I always enjoyed his artwork, even in his pre-The Batman Adventures way. He was the ideal fit for this series, and his artwork was great here! here are some beautifully composed shots of Batman in here which are worthy of framing.

A nice holiday story, without a doubt.
