AS New Years Eve advertising begins.. outside of CN!! Plus, Baffler Meal picture!

Even though Cartoon Network is holding off, for some reason, on the advertising for their Adult Swim New Years Eve marathon, that doesn't mean the network isn't promoting it.

Starting tonight, check TNN, ESPN, MTV, USA Network, FX, E!, Comedy Central, and more for advertisements for the New Years Eve special.

The special will indeed be cartoon characters superimposed on live-action shots. The commercial takes place during the day, but of course it won't be like that for the actual special.

Interesting to note is that the theme song is still the old one. The new look will come. Yes, it will. One day. They already remodelled their visual press packets to fit the new style.

Actually, I saw the new commercial promoting the Adult Swim block (with the always loveable Carl) last week on TNN during their Star Trek: TNG marathons.

However, I have yet to see it on any of the other networks mentioned. I do watch a lot of ESPN, so hope to see it there soon!

Now I'm torn between putting a copy of this episode on my Aqua Teen Hunger Force tape or just keeping it with the other shows (ATHF and Bebop are the only shows that have their own tapes, as of now).

Because when everyone in the world thinks of Adult Swim, they think of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, not Japanese animation.

Yes, but ATHF and SeaLab are shows that can be completely and exclusively categorized as 'Adult Swim' and no other. So it's more of an issue of symbollism.

Please. I was just providing an example, I wasn't saying that people only think about ATHF.

I mean that, everyone in the world thinks of Adult Swim as being a block with comedy shows and old people in the pool.

And we (the fans) are not included in "everyone".

I'm just happy they are finally making a new ep of SGC2C :D. I miss that show so much, I have seen almost all of the ep too many times for many of them to be funny anymore. :(
