Did anybody catch Tom and Jerry on CN last night? It was a rare T&J night! They showed:
LIFE WITH TOM (1954)
THE MIDNIGHT SNACK (1941)
THE FRAMED CAT (1950)
I'm surprised nobody else posted this.

What the f@&#?!! They haven't had a rare T&J night in a while! I'll have to tape it next week.
You know what? That makes me mad.

Nice avatar...but who's that cat? I know I've seen him before...is he a Disney cartoon?
-Matthew
It's Figaro, from Pinochio, he appeared in a few theatrical cartoons.

Jack's right. Figaro's all ways been one of my favorites, since he reminds me of my cat (who past away in 1999). Figaro appeared in the following:
Movies:
"Pinnochio" (1940)
Shorts:
"Figaro and Cleo" (1943, with a Mammy-Two-Shoes like maid)
"First Aiders" (1944)
"Bath Day" (1946)
"Figaro and Frankie" (1947)
"Cat Nap Pluto" (1948)
"Pluto's Sweater" (1949)
All of the shorts were directed by Charles Nichols.

I like Figaro too, possibly Disney's only nice cat character too. Sorry about your cat, I know that it's sad to lose a pet.

Great Tom & Jerry show last night! Although they cut "Life with Tom" and Mammy's voice was re-dubbed on both "The Midnight Snack" & "The Framed Cat", I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't seen "The Framed Cat" since it was broadcast here locally in Chicago back in the mid/late 1980s! Funny 'toon!!

--Mammy wore carpet slippers, not shoes. Were these redrawn or is that how she appeared in the original prints?
I couldn't help but notice that Jerry has a mailbox with his name on it in "Life With Tom"...for a household pest, Jerry's come up in the world! Plus he's nice enough to split his royalties down the middle with that crotchety old cat...that gives me such a warm feeling inside. Either that or the packet of gravy I put on my Salisbury steaks was expired....
DYN that Tom speaks in "The Framed Cat" (as does Spike)?
BTW, Jerry's nephew's name has been given as both "Tuffy" and "Nibbles", so Tom isn't the only T&J character to undergo a name change (he was originally called "Jasper").
Jerry has always had nice lodgings, many of the cartoons even show his mouse hole having wooden, or golden trim around it. Exterior shots sometimes even show a small light over the door, as if the electrician wired the house for a mouse. All mice should have it so good.
