What's up with SciFi?

What's with SciFi? It seems to be nothing but movies. I thought this was just last week because of the holiday. All of the normal day time and evening programs have been replaced with movies or something about UFO's. I thought the Twilight Zone would never go off the air, sure enough it's been replaced by movies. And I'm not even seen John Edwards for a week. Who would have thought SciFi would stop showing that 10 times a day? It all started with Braveheart and it seems to be getting worse.

Oh..but it gets even better as the SCI FI channel becomes the Taken channel for 2 weeks..then reverts back to its old sched for 2 weeks. Best thing is a Farscape marathon on the 24th.

An X files marathon on the 30th..the traditional Twilight Zone marathon New Years.

Knight Rider and Roswell join the line up and The Sentinel returns to an all new schedule

I've wondered this too (I can't figure out why Braveheart was on either). I remember when Sci Fi used to have shows like Quantum Leap, MST3K, The Twilight Zone, and Tales from the Darkside.

Well, at least they show some good movies and X-Files is on there (is Taken any good so far?). BTW, the new Sci Fi logo stinks.

I was keeping silent about this, but a couple of weeks ago, something happened that caused me to not be silent anymore:

The Sci-Fi Channel aired Braveheart, a movie that doesn't fall into the categories of SciFi, Horror or Fantasy, which I figured that the network was all about. This is inexcusable. I'm signing that petition that was advertised a while back.

P.S. The new logo bites big wind.

I think the new logo looks stupid and the old one worked just fine. I hope Braveheart wasn't some kind of test for the network. If the movie did good, then maybe they'd bring more of that kind of content to the channel which would mean the end of the channel cause the point of SciFi is to give us stuff not on other channels like USA.

Maybe they thought Willow and Braveheart were similar.

Anyway, the only explanation I can think of is that USA showed it and since USA and Sci Fi are owned by the same company, they put it on both channels.

SciFi’s getting KnightRider?! Yeess!! I’ve been waiting for some station to start airing one of my favorite shows for some time. I rarely ever watch anything on SciFi, but you can bet I’ll start tuning in at 5:00pm (ET) come January 13.
