I remember that eppy! Having the crab doc (forget the name...) be the only 'good' kid considered by Evil Santa was gold, and they finally broke the ice with Fry and Leela. 'Course, with modesty out the door....eeyargh....
Still, I cannot wait to see it again either, too! :)

I can't wait to see this episode! The original Santa Claus episode was hilairous, and I think this will be just as funny. I bet they will air it on a "special date & time". Man...I just can't wait. FUTURAMA is one of the most hilarious show son the television right now. The rerun FOX aired last weekend, with the Asylum was absolutely hilarious.

Nope, BourgeoisBuffoon, it's a sequel to that episode! Life is good.

(gasps, eyes wide) JOY! Evil Robo psycho Santa makes a comeback! Life is so good! I wonder if he considers anyone nice this time around...
...too violent. In today's culture, I'll bet it could be considered 'normal' nowadays. But forget about that, since we can see it...

Yep...read that Groening showed it to the folks at the "Futurama" Comic-Con panel, and they loved it. They also seemed to agree with the FOX censors that the episode was undoubtedly the wildest, darkest, most non-child-friendly Futurama episode yet (which is really saying something, considering some of the stuff they've done). Assuming it's done well, though, I'm looking forward to it.
Season premiere is December 9, btw. All of FOX's other Sunday shows debut November 4, naturally.
And yes, I'm back. Not that there's much to talk about...set the VCR to tape The Learning Channel's Human Face special with John Cleese while I was away, and watched it this morning...quite well-done. Gobs of interesting insight into how other people's looks affect us and why, and some very intriguing interviews with surgeons, malformed people, Joan Rivers, etc. Blend this in with some wonderfully inspired short skits with Cleese, Monty Python's own Michael Palin, and a spunky Elizabeth Hurley (including Cleese callously ripping Hurley's face off her head to reveal what's underneath), and some other bits of Python-esque ridiculousness: a bit of "pavement rage," with two fathers drag-racing with baby carriages; a soap opera starring crocodiles (who have only one facial expression--"Three less than Michael Palin," Cleese explains); and a closing segment on how technology is slowly eliminating that oh-so-essential aspect of facial communication (children playing computer games "instead of traditional activities like playing with dolls and fighting"), culminating with Cleese smashing several computers (including one with Bill Gates' face on it) and going into a gloriously irate rant before being hosed down by Hurley.
If they run it again, I'd recommend giving it a look (particularly the Cleese / Python fans here). And, hey--Fawlty Towers is due out on DVD soon!

We've all seen the original Robot Santa ep, which aired in 1999. At the end of it, he promises to return next year. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep the appointment, since the FOX censors deemed the ep too dark for the 7 PM slot.
Thus, the followup episode will be airing *THIS* year in a later slot, apparently. Keep your fingers crossed.
figures we wont have Fox
IT'S A CONSPIRACY!
