In an article in the Sept. 7 issue of Entertainment Weekly, Futurama producer David X. Cohen said that he's gotten permission from Fox to air the Futurama Christmas episode that was scheduled to air last season.
The episode, in which Fry, Leela and Bender infiltrate the North Pole to take on a murdering robot Santa Claus voiced by John Goodman, was yanked from the schedule because Fox had deemed the episode "too violent."
No airdate has been scheduled, though it will be airing sometime in December in a special, "later" timeslot due to the subject matter.
