Fanboys rejoice, the Turtles are coming back with some added Turtle Power. Two months ago, it was reported that the Turtles would returning to theaters in a new CGI movie and CGI series. Now, according to The Boston Globe (http://search.boston.com/dailyglobe2/243/living/Ninja_Turtles_to_reemerge_in_TV_series_film+.shtml), the 3D CGI idea for the series has been scrapped and instead, the Turtles will be fall in 2D animated style. The series could potentially launch September 2002. Either Kids' WB! or Fox Kids will most likely air the new series.
The Globe reports that the new series will, "...bring a new look and feel to them, similar to the ''Batman Beyond'' take on that character." The CGI animated movie is still in the works is the. Also planned are videogames based on the new series that will be on all the next-generation systems and a new live action/CGI miniseries that will air on the Hallmark Channel.
