View Full Version : What would be in the Batcave in the live action BB?

From what we've heard so far about the proposed live action BB movie, it will follow the continuity of the latest Batman movies, much the way the animated BB followed BTAS and TNBA. One of the things everyone loved about BB was spotting all the "souveniers" Bruce had saved from the old series, scattered around the Batcave. So what kind of stuff would we see in a live action version? Some ideas:
-Penguin's giant duck from Batman Returns (what was left of it)
-One of those Box things of Riddler's from Batman Forever
-The Dream Doll Chase gave him in Batman Forever
-Mr. Freeze's freeze gun from B&R
-All the different Bat suits from the different movies
The first Batman movie was my favorite, but oddly enough I really can't think of anything cool he could have in the cave from that one, aside from the suit... Also it'd be cool if there was a picture hanging somewhere of Batman and Superman together (they're talking about having George Clooney maybe play Bruce again in this movie... he and Dean Cain are friends, maybe they could arrange for a photo shoot of sorts).

How about Prince's purple suit from when he recorded the soundtrack for Batman? just kidding.
I would hate it if they would just limit themselves with stuff from the live action movies. I'd like to see stuff in the Batcave that we have seen in the cartoon version. I think they could put up things like Harley's outfit in there and not have to do any explaining about it. The fans will know what it's all about anyway. So I say make it look like the cartoon batcave.

Joel Schumacher's severed head is probably on a lot of people's lists, but I doubt that'll ever happen. For the Nicholson Joker, probably a can of something with Smilex in it, the long-barrelled pistol he shoots down the Batwing with, the chopping teeth Batman knocks out, or that laughing thing they found on the body...still laughing. I'm surprised I remember this stuff; I think Burton's a hack and did a poor job on Batman and Batman Returns.
There HAS to be a big penny and a big playing card and a T-rex, just because.
TAS memoribilia is de rigeur. At least some of the art hanging on the wall, Harley's suit mixed in with the rest, some Gray Ghost stuff.

Don't diss Burton's Batman-He did a hell of a lot more for Batman than Schumacker did. And yes, I realize I just misspelled!

I personally really enjoyed Burton's Batman. Best live action Batman ever!

I also enjoyed Buton's Batman, but any of the movies were far better then that crap, Batman & Robin. That movie gave me tons of nightmares, but even they were better then the real movie.

I like Burton's movies as well. But I don't have a hard time saying that I prefer Mask of the Phantasm over them.

I imagine WB will decide to have a glass case full of their latest and range of videos. A few posters of some of their classic films... Nothing like a bit of self promotion and WB are nortorious for it!!! :D

I think Calhoun said it where he'd want a cave full of BTAS and TNBSA souvenirs, but I'd take things a tiny bit differently. I'd want a handfull of stuff from the live action movies (Joker's long gun, chattering teeth) But to have the rest to be from the animated series.
However, I think the possibility for the live action BB movie to be screwed up will increase if you don't incorporate more of the animated BB continuity into it.
