About my Upcoming "Hiatus"

Is hiatus even the proper word?

This week is my last week before school, and I have a busy week. If you're curious as to why I had no news up on Monday it was becuase there was actually no news and becuase I was swamped all day. This week, for me, will be packed with going away parties, getting prepared for school, emailing tonnes of people, talking to my roommate, getting oprganized, heading into the store, work, and about 1000 other things. The week is now drawing to a close and I'm getting all prepped for school. I will be leaving on Sunday so there may be a small gap wherere I'm not here at all. Don't worry though! There is a great mod crew to keep the boards in tip-top shape, and Inque will be pulling out some suprises for the site. The next couple weeks are going to be intense. I can't accuratly pinpoint how available I'll be for the next little bit, but I'll try to be on as much as possible. I do have alot of online work to do so the odds are pretty good you'll catch me. If ya need to talk to me or have anything to see don't hesitate to email or PM me - whoever ya are!

Thanx for listening, friends! I am very eager to start this new year of University.

And just a note - yes I will be posting this on all three WF Discussion Forums.

Here's a thought, maybe while DG's gone there will be a power struggle between the remaining mods to fill the power vacuum left by DG's absence. Of course in this resulting struggle the mods will destroy themselves leaving only chaos. I will then take that opportunity to rise through the ranks, restoring order and ruling the boards with an iron fist! *evil laughter*

LOL at Mr. Obsession! Man, that was hilarious!! =)

Oranthal, the idea is one I already mentioned under the thread "The Near Apocalypse of '09", it's called Batman Beyond: Fall of the Demon", and is about Batman's final encounter with Ra's al Ghul. It sorta bridges the gap between the old series and BB, explaining what happened to some of the other older characters (Gordon retires and has a party, leading to a great scene between him and Bruce, whom he knows is Batman now. Harvey Dent is there too, having been healed both physically and mentally, Two-Face gone for good now. Alfred is still around, though it is clear he's approaching death. Etc.) There's a big change to the character of Talia I'd rather not spoil, but I will say it (partially) explains why she and Bruce never ended up together. Bats, btw, is now fighting crime in the BB costume. Oh, and as I said in my idea before, Superman does play a major supporting role. And that's just about all the details I can think of at this moment. Oh, the story goes from Gotham to Metropolis to South America. And I guess I can say that Ra's al Ghul comes closer to actually winning than he ever has in the past.

And I love your BB prequel idea. I could see it as a nice two hour DTV/OVA. One minor problem though, BB takes place in the 2040's, the BB suit is only 20 years old. So maybe you could use a suit that's at some stage between the TNBA one and the BB one. Or just have Bruce use that kickass Kingdom Come type exo-armor last seen in "Disappearing Inque".

Hmmmm, the BB suit is only twenty years old? When was that stated? I'm sorry, I'm sure it WAS, I just don't remember what episode/piece of dialogue revealed that? I know he HAD the suit twenty years back (As seen in Rebirth), but I didn't know it was stated the suit was only twenty years old.

Terry mentioned that "...even though the suit's 20 years old it's still cutting edge technology..." in a conversation with Bruce in "Rebirth".

I don't think you'd have to change you're idea too much if you went for some sort of prototype suit Bruce made before he constructed the first BB suit.

Enjoy DG. Do what ya gotta do. But of course, knowing you I know you won't be kept away for long. :) Hehehe. Anyway, as my favorite Political Science Professor said, "have fun.....but, SAFE fun."

Ironically (provided my school's internet provider is working properly) I'll have BETTER and more access to the boards while at school because I'll finally have my own nice fast network connection for my lap top. I don't have to occasionally steal the cable modem from my mom's crap computer anymore (pss! like I'm doing right now btw!).
