Wut happened to BB: The Movie?

i remember this past summer, there wuz a website:

showing that there wuz an independent Batman Beyond film in tha works, complete w/ a trailer, and some pix... does n/e one kno if it'z still being made? has it been released? huh?

I recall the founders of the site being at the San Diego Comic Con and that the movie was to be available in august. The thing is, as interesting as the idea was, and albeit it could be awesome, it was illegal. There's no problem with making an independent film, but if I'm not mistaken, they didn't get permission from WB or DC, or even try to get permission from them, in making the movie and then selling it. Besides that point, the movie is 40 minutes long, is made as a DVD and the DVD has special features on it and somesuch. It's a great idea, and obviously they put major effort into it, but in the end what they're doing is illegal.
