Robotech 3000

Robotech fans out there, I have seen evidence that there will be a new series coming called Robotech 3000. I know a little about what it will consist of, but not much. Anyone have any info?

Nope. I saw a couple of character designs on the official website, but that's about it. I'm not sure if they've got the funding and the right studio yet.

It looks interesting. I might watch it, if they let the Japanese studio design and storyboard the mecha. After the Robotech: The Sentinels fiasco, I'd prefer it if they go with a more "pure" mecha design. Those designs in that short-lived sequel looked too Western...which doesn't fit the show.

I've seen alot of the Macross/Robotech saga. Sounds pretty good, But I never did see all of what happened to Rick Hunter in the first series.:(
