Who is the best? I say Bill Nye.

I say Beakman. He was super funny, and I just enjoyed his show more. He also had interesting back-up characters, like that guy in hte rat suit. :D I think I just got into that show more because it was really kind of warped. :D

Gotta go with the Science Guy. He just made things fun and I always felt like Beakman was kind of an idiot and his sidekicks detracted from the show for me.
And how could anyone not love the "Bill Nye, The Science Guy" theme song? Man that was great. :)

Hrm... tough call. I really enjoyed both of them when I was able to catch them. I'd have to say Bill edges out the Beaker... but only by a smidge.

I'd have to go with Beakman by a loooonnnng shot. He was funny and made things interesting.
Beakman was pretty sterile and Disney's way to horn in on Beakman's business.

Beakman... and Lester.
The first time I saw Beakman was on TLC some friday night many years ago, while skipping the channels of TGIF. Turned out it was a marathon. I ended up watching until 4am.

Beakman was quirky, and that was cool. Bill Nye was just weird, and that was cool, too. I honestly caught the science guy more often than Beakman, so I'll go with Nye.
Later.

Beakman. Still remember Saturday morning's spent laughing with that show. I guess I just missed the Bill Nye time period of Saturday morning cartoons. *shrugs*

I didn't know Beakman had a show... I thought he was just a comic-strip character.
I'd have to go with Bill Nye, choosing between the two... but really, it's a dead heat between Nye and the original Science Guy, Mr. Wizard. :)

Well, both of them are quite entertaining, and when you're a kid and the subject matter is science, that can be a difficult thing.
My vote has to go to Bill Nye, though. I've been down with Bill Nye since before he broke big nationwide. I remember seeing him in an instructional video on boating safety in a class I had to take to get a boating license, he was hilarious.
Mr. Wizard beats them both out, though, not in humor or entertainment value (although he was quite entertaining), but just by virtue of the fact that was the original.
Anybody remember the Dinosaurs parody of Mr. Wizard, Mr. Lizard?

Bill Nye rules.

The choice is obvious: Bill Nye. He looks like my Uncle (aunt's husband) who is also a science guy (Ph.D. in geophysics)
Beakman was always kind of annoying. I watched it for the gigantic rat's sarcasm.
And this thread needs a Poll :)

This isn't even a debate for me. Bill Nye outclasses Beakmen in almost everyway...no scratch that, EVERY WAY.
Not only do I think Nye was funnier, but Nye's sidecicks and announcers were equally hilarious (I had a crush on one of those girls...). Beakman on the other hand was annoying himself, but with his female cohorts, the tedium was only amplified.
Next, Bill dedicated episodes to a specific topic, giving the viewer a pretty indepth analysis on the subject. Beakman on the other hand moved from topic to topic, only scratching the surface of certain questions.
