Welcome wrestling fans to the apparently Tuesday-posted WWE Big Question. The unofficial Entertainment Board feature brought to you by the unofficial "WWE Moderator-weight Champion," Billy Kid... er, The Penguin.

As many of you have probably noticed I am not a big fan of Survivor Series not having Survivor Series matches. I won't continue with my thoughts until later, but that brings me to this week's question...

How do you feel about Survivor Series featuring no Survivor Series matches?

I liked seeing the old Survivor Series matches back in the day, but the last few traditional Survivor Series matches the WWE did really weren't that great.

I like when WWE comes up with new types of survival matches for the event, like elimination chamber and last years WCW vs WWF elmination match.

I'm just suprupset that trhe apy-per-view lasted only SIX Bloody matches, the Elimination Chamber and the six-man elimination tag bout were good enough to pass as Survivor bouts...

While the Survivor Series matchups are traditional, they weren't necessary or vital. That was proved when Survivor Series 2002 became the best WWE PPV in the last few months.

I liked the Survivor Series 1990 concept where there are about 5 Survivor Series matchups and then at the end, the winners of all those Survivor Series matchups meet up in a final Match of Survival.

Unfortunately, that just wouldn't work as a WHOLE PPV like it did when we have 4 WWFE PPVs a year.

But I could definately see a match for every title and then have 4 Survivor Series matchups where there can only be one winner. (Meaning that even if there are 2, 3, 4, or 5 members left on the same team. They must battle it out to determine who will be the lone Survivor.) Then, at the end, those 4 meet up in a Fatal Four-Way matchup and the winner of that is the lone Survivor and #1 Contender for, if he is a RAW Superstar, the World Title, if he is a SmackDown! Superstar, the WWE Title.

Geez I really need to get on the ball with answering my own question, this is embarrassing. :o

So few pay-per-views have anything about them that makes them special from just a group of matches that are longer, Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, King of the Ring kind of, but that's another question all together and Survivor Series.

The elimination matches have always made this pay-per-view unique and different. It gives it a special something that, say No Mercy doesn't have in addition to a stronger history. The King of the Ring is different than when it started to a certain extent, but the integrity of the event is still there and the Royal Rumble has been virtually unchanged for over a decade. Why is Survivor Series different?

The Survivor Series has always been an interesting way to advance a feud. Sometimes a wrestler may go in targeting one guy, but by the end of the match and the coming months, he is after someone else on the team.

Using the WWF Title Tournament, the Immunity Battle Royal & the face off between the WWF and the Alliance, and the Elimination Chamber as substitutes over the years were okay with me, but I was always expecting to get the matches back, and this year we didn't.

It's fine to change with the times and modify things to a degree, but if you don't have tradition you have nothing.

This one totally slipped by me. Hey, there was one SS-style elimination match! It's just there were only six men with tables. :)
