Best sky color for Gotham City

which one do you think is the best? In BTAS the sky was blue for most of the time but sometimes it was also a red/black red mix. In TNBA the sky's red all the time and IMO it's a very bright red, maybe too bright.:cool:

I wasn't too big a fan of the bright red... maybe a duller, muted red would have worked better.

Though personally, I loved the purple BB sky. It had artistic flair and really fit the mythos.

I think it was red only at night on TNBA. During the day it was a sickly yellow.

But nothing ever happens in Gotham in the daytime, right? ;)

Bruce Timm is one of the greatest cartoonists/comic illustrators I've ever seen, but maybe not the best colorist.
The primary color for the Gotham night sky from the Dick Sprang '40's through the Carmine Infantino '60's to the Neal Adams '70's was purple, and I've always felt it suited Batman best.

BTAS Red ! It just looked so..gothic!
I love the BB purple sky too! But only for BB.
I think the color purple stands for betrayal or something like that...very fitting for the new BB Gotham.

i was just thinking about this. i personally like the btas sky best....night was dark blue/black and occasionally a dark red. but in tnba, the sky was only red at night and in the day it was yellow. and in bb it was purple at night and yellow during the day...BUT...i noticed at the end of "curse of the kobra" part 2, while terry, bruce, and max mourned kairi, the sky was a nice crisp...BLUE. for some reason this stuck in my head. was it a peaceful tribute to our lost friend, or a f@$# up on the artis'ts part??? either way, i found it interesting enough to post...peace.

BTAS dark blue. I don't know, i guess i just thought it added some sort of atmostphere and just looked really cool. But i guess the main thing i liked about the BTAS sky was that it wasn't limited to being only one color. It was blue at times, red at times, and, almost black at times. The black sky was cool too.

Of course, i really do also like the TNBA blood red sky. But BTAS just looked more, well, atmospheric (couldn't think of another word:rolleyes:).

did anyone see how Batman looked when he was in Metropolis at night? I say that they should have stuck with the dark blue color Metropoilis had. It would have worked for Gotham.

I live rigth next to Gotham, Gotham, and Gotham (NYC east, Newark west and Jersey city north) and during the day its blue with a greenish brown haze and at sunset its orange red with a purpleish hew and at night its a dark blue wih a mid night blue haze so right there is they colors
