For this one, I really endeavored to draft a true cover, with all the constraints it entails (in terms of layout mostly).

Very nice. But isn't the night sky in Gotham red?

Actually, in BTAS Gotham had dark blue skies and occassionally red skies. In TNBA the sky was always red (which I thought was very cool).

The only thing I'd fix would be the skyline. It needs to be more darker. If I was doing it, then I'd go for a dark, dark purple. I used to make 'covers" also for my own little comics I made and it was fun. I wish I kept some of those sketches around...which reminds me to get som emore art online someday...

To be honest I was only half pleased with the colors myself. I'll fix that tomorrow.

Nice work Salvor,
You've definitely got a flair for the "animated style". Great layout! and lighting. The bright blue may be off as you and others have noted. Also what do you think, could a little gradation in places (the sky maybe) give it more depth?
Thanks for sharing your work. Your site also, quite impressive.

That is so great Sal! I wish I had your talent!
And yes, the sky color is not the best, but you knew that :)

Thanks for all the kind words. I've uploaded what will be my final rendition of the trio. As promised I got rid of the blue sky and made some slight changes here and there. Hope you like it!

Its great work very impressive. But a small nitpick. It seems we have a TNBA with a BTAS symbol. I think if you really want BTAS Batboy needs to be more rounded and less angular. But I'm sure you did it on purpose anyway.

Yes I did it on purpose indeed. I'm not too comfortable with the BTAS designs and I hate drawing with models right in front of me (it's like cheating in a way). Thus I had settle for an "in-between" look. Besides I think the TNBA style suits well this kind of figure.

You know, when I look at this peice of work, I can't help but think of how mediocre the cover art for MOTP is. I remember reading an article in an old COMIC SCENE where they showed all the designs for what would be the MOTP poster, and they had this great one That had Batman overshadowing Joker and the Phantasm. The final one is always a bit lackluster to me.
