Written by: Hilary Barda
Art by: Craig Rousseau and Rob Leigh
Cover by: Darwyn Cooke
Summary:
In stores August 29, 2001. Final issue. There's something curious about Mom's new boyfriend. Could it be the claws, the fangs or the glowing eyes? That's right, it's the issue you've been waiting for as "Terry's Mom Dates a Splicer!" But what does Batman have to say about it?
Comments?

I guess I have to take back all I said before. This issue actually turned out to be alright, not a final issue, mind you, but at least it continued the look at Terry's family that Mr. Storrie started last issue. Though it was not a fantastic issue, it was better than I expected. And I like the possibility of a JLU mini series or one shot mentioned in the letters section. Crossing my fingers...

I thought this issue was okay. Nothing special, but it wasn't horrible. I thought the whole Alien DNA thing was kind of ridiculous, but the story did have some good moments, like the ending. Overall, it was pretty good, but I think last month's issue should have been the finale, not this one.
See ya!

I thought this issue would be a mess like issue #19, but it wasn't all that bad. The art was, of course, very nice. Still, Storrie's tale was more of a book end than this one. Here's hoping this isn't the last we see of McGinnis in print form...

As they said, it not the end, just the closing of chapter one for Terry. I wonder how they could ressurect this book though? Same title, volume two, with a completely different creative crew? Who knows what'll happen, I'd just like to see it come back sometime... and did you notice how this series ended with some alien story just like B&RA did (the flying saucer bit...)? Conspiracy?...

Doesn't anybody have anything to say about this issue? I mean, it's the last one. Somebody speak up...

I personaly like it. I like the art for once and the story line is also cool. And I finally learned what Mrs. McGinnis does for a living. ANd it was nice to see a protective side of Terry.

Yeah, a pretty good issue. Nothing too mind-boggling though. I like it when Bruce reminds Terry that the Batmobile belongs to him now. Nice touch for sure. And the final dialogue is stunningly well written.

--I'm hearing positive comments on "Terry's Mom Dates A Splicer"? Color me shocked. If I were an old Looney Tunes character I'd utter the phrase "Now I've seen everything" and put a pistol to my head. ;) So...the splicer in question wasn't Cuvier himself, was it? I suppose it'd be too much to ask for Bruce and Mary start pitching a little woo, though.... :p

I was surprised how good Bader's script was, given the horribly titled story. While not the best way to end the series, still readable. My review for it went online at WF last weekend.

Why are there new threads up for old issues that already had talkbacks? I like re-reading older comments from when the issues first came out...
This one was nothing special. And no. No Cuvier.
