If there was one DVD rumor you wish came true - what would it be?

That all of the cartoons from the golden age of animation would come out on separate box sets. I'd love to see ALL of the:

Warner Bros.
MGM
Disney
Popeye
Columbia
Harveytoons (or whatever they're called now...)

and all the others!

no more crapper cases from WB.

DVD wise, I'd say, I wish they'd release everything un-edited on DVD...

I don't bother worrying about rumors for the major films to come to DVD, cuz I know they will get here sooner or later. Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and the sort, all of these will reach DVD and with great bonus features.

But as for the rumors I have heard in the past....

Buckaroo Banzai on special edition DVD is one I want to see come to pass and Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me with the deleted footage. Those are the two main titles I wait for daily.

One of my favorite movies is Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and it is already on DVD in a no-frills release. I've yet to pick it up because I hope there will be a special edition.

One supplement could be the deleted scenes with the option to have them seamlessly branch into the film if so desired (like the deleted scenes in Me, Myself & Irene and X-Men.

Other nice additions would be the three theatrical Roger Rabbit cartoons: Tummy Trouble, Roller Coaster Rabbit, and Trail Mix-Up. A "making of" documentary would also be appreciated. The 1988 TV special, "Roger Rabbit & The Secrets of Toontown" could do the job. There was also an excellent series of articles covering Roger Rabbit's production in Starlog magazine that could be included as text pieces.

I had heard about a year ago that every episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show was going to be released on DVD in season sets. Nothing ever came of it. Oh well, for now I'm content with my newly arrived "Avengers: The Complete Emma Peel Mega Set". Mmm, British chicks...

Did you get this, Brian? I know it's not all the episodes, but it's a great starting place!

I am sure there are more to come. And amazon.com has it on sale for about ten dollars.

Yup, I have that. Unfortunately, it's just a compilation of public domain episodes by some no-name company. It's not an official release. The episodes look decent, but any official DVD would look much better.
