Bertha Faye was a full-figured asian woman who was Alundra Blayze's archnemsis for the Women's title back in '94 and '95. Bertha Faye died recently.

Too many exclusions like Mr. Perfect's Theme, Girls in Cars, Demolition's Theme -- you can't have a WWE Anthology album without "Here comes the Ax, Here comes the Smasher...," Piper's Bagpipes, etc.

They could add so many songs by getting rid of the third disc. The current WWE Themes just aren't that memorable. Too many generic rock songs and not enough songs that defines a wrestler's personality. Compare the Undertaker's original theme to his current one and tell which one leaves an impression?

Seeing as there were over 500 themes created exclusions have to be made.

Well I have just wrapped up my first full listen of Disc 1, The Federation Years and I was pretty happy with it.

I love having the theme for the Million Dollar Man after all these years. I've always loved that one. :)

"Real American" is always a treat to hear.

Having the wedding theme of Randy & Liz is also nice.

You just can't go wrong with the Honky Tonk Man.

Jake The Snake baby.

Having the "No Holds Barred" theme fell a little short for me. I guess I haven't seen the movie enough times.

How could anyone not love having "Los Boricuas"? :p

Hearing the theme from the Corporate Ministry again was pretty cool. It was neat to hear on something other than the TV.

Why Dude Love got two songs I'll never know.

It's great having Owen Hart on this CD. I had hoped his theme would be on it and sure enough it's #25. :) :(

I would have liked to have had Mr. Perfect on here and maybe Earthquake, but we can't get everyone. :(

I am having a heckuva time getting the discs in and out of that cardboard case!! It is just me? Is there some secret I don't know? :o

I hope to get to "Attitude" tomorrow. If I can get it out of the "case"

Hmmm I guess no one else got this CD? It so that's too bad.

I have now given The Attitude Era a full listen and while this one has the most songs that have been previously released, there are still a lot of good things about it. It is nice having so many good ones put on one disc rather than several.

First and foremost I was super-pumped that the Kurt Angle track (stupidly named "I Don't Suck" ) was the guitar version he used when he was a face! I had always loved that one and now it's on CD!

BrawlforAll theme! How can you go wrong?

Having the PPV themes for WrestleMania 2000 "California" and Survivor Series "Deadly Game" (misidentified as an In Your House theme) is really cool. You never got to hear the full version on TV.

It was neat hearing the Mike Tyson version of X-Pac's theme, "Fist." For those of you who don't know, Tyson used the theme at WrestleMania XIV and then it was re-worked for X-Pac.

I'm not sure if I should be excited for frightened that Regal's "Real Man's Man" is included. Man that was a horid gimmick.

They redemed themselves with Lita's "Just Feels Right" by going with the original instrumental version. It also great hearing the pre-Saliva version of The Dudleyz theme, but I could have done without a repeat of "Sexual Chocolate" and "Hello Ladies."

It's time for everybody... to have a copy of "The Ho Train" :D

I liked how the redid "Oh Hell Yeah" from WWF The Music: Vol 4 (the green one). It made it worth having.

To top it all off we got Hardcore Holly's "How Do You Like Me Now?" A great song from a great long-term superstar.

Well I've accidentally ripped the cardboard package near discs 2 and 3 so they open a lot easier now. Is there some secret or is it just bad packaging?

Rhonda Sing(h), known briefly in the WWF as Bertha Faye, is considered by some to be the greatest women's wrestler of all time. She wrestled for over twenty years, from sometime in the seventies until 1999, and gained a lot of notoriety in Japan as well as Calgary.

Bret Hart did an entire column devoted to her, where he said, " A mere two months [after being spotted in a training facility], she was main eventing in Japan and it should be acknowledged Rhonda Singh was the first Calgary-born wrestler to make it big internationally -- long before any of the Hart boys did. "

She wrestled in WWF for a few months in 1995 as Bertha Faye. The gimmick: huge fat trailer trash woman whom her manager, tiny little Harvey Whippleman was completely in love with. She was huge in comparison to the WWF's champion, Alundra Blayze (aka Madusa), and won Women's title from her. She was actually very embarrassed by the whole Bertha Faye stint, and many of her fans consider this gimmick to be the lowest point of Rhonda's career. Here's a quote from her that I found: "It was the best and worst of times. Because I started in Japan, I had a reverse philosophy than those who start in the States, and their dream is to wrestle in Japan. Mine was to wrestle in Madison Square Garden."

Rhonda resurfaced in the U.S. bigtime again in WCW 1999. She once again fueded with Madusa, actually received a Cruiserweight title shot (Vince Russo was running the show, btw) and hooked up with Mike Awesome when he was doing his "I like fat chicks" gimmick. Rhonda retired after this run, since huge women just weren't desired by wrestling promoters anymore, not to mention that she was pushing forty.

She passed away in July of last year.

Well I have listened to Disc 3, NOW! (or as I like to think of it "WWE The Music: Vol. 6") and I thought it was great. A lot of songs from the current stock that I've been wanting are on this thing. :)

I may not be Brock Lesnar's biggest fan, but he does have a pretty cool theme which you really appreciate a lot more when you can really hear it.

It's actually kind of neat having both versions of the current Undertaker theme. Usually I'm not a big fan of words being added to an instrumental theme, but I liked the "You're Gonna Pay" version almost better.

Christian and Bischoff both have great themes and it's nice having them both. :)

"Eyes of Righteousness" is a great tune. http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/Reverend.gif It's just a shame it barely fits D-Von anymore.

Well I still don't know who sings the SummerSlam theme, but it's yet another great one (noticing a pattern? :o )

I've had (619) in my head on and off ever since Rey-Rey made his debut so it's uber cool (trying to come up with more adjectives) to have it outside my head.

I wasn't a fan of Trish's new song when it first started, but it's really starting to grow on me.

Stand back! The Hurricane's song is on Anthology! :D

Saliva's "King of My World" is also really growing on. It's a great theme by an awesome band.

Stephanie's new one is okay, but I'm still not a huge fan.

It's still rather difficult to figure out the words to Torrie's song, but that's not a real big deal.

Before listening to the CD, I figure "The Game" was just going to be Motorhead put on another album. Thankfully I was wrong. We get a more rap version that is a great hybrid of the last two Triple H themes.

I'll be honest, I've always liked "You Look So Good To Me" and I was excited when it was on the CD. It's something different and I like. Regardless of what it symbolized based on the guys it brought out to the ring.

I swear "The End" was only used for Survivor Series.

If there is one theme (kind of) around right now that I think is just awesome it's "Here Comes the Money" Sometimes when the CD ends I just play that one again.

If you haven't picked up this set yet (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000063KO7/toonzone03/103-5872135-3155045) I strongly encourage it. I got it at Wal-Mart for $17 last week, but I think it's still worth it at 25. That's like 8 bucks a disc. Each one is worth at least that much.

Billy Kidman's current theme was a bonus track available for download at WWE.com. They have since taken down the Anthology site.

Actually you are very wrong. When the NWO came into town I think used that theme to hype up their return at No Way out.! Also I know for a fact they used that theme for Armegeddon at one time. You bumped up a thread that is a year and a half old to say I was "wrong" when ironically enough if anyone is wrong it is you.

The reason I said "I swear "The End" was only used for Survivor Series." is because it is listed as a Judgment Day theme on the back of the CD case (which I can only assume you have if you felt the need to respond to the thread). I'm pretty sure that "The End" was first heard in the WWE for the 2001 Survivor Series where it was "the end" for either the WWF or the Alliance after the "Winner Take All" Survivor Series match (which of course the Alliance lost).

I believe it was used in a couple of the nWo vignettes before their arrival, but the final version of the nWo was dead by July after the injury of Kevin Nash and WWE wanted everyone to forget about them. Secondly, it was of course not the theme of the nWo and I highly doubt a song would be credited as being for an "nWo vignette" on the back of the CD.

Finally look at the date of my post. Go ahead and scroll up, I'll wait...

...Still with me? Okay, the date of my post is 11-18-2002, that's November 18, 2002. Next month, on December 15, 2002 will be Armageddon from the National Car Rental Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The main events are SmackDown's Kurt Angle defeating Big Show for the WWE Championship and RAW's Triple H defeating Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship in a best of three falls match.

That event will be the first time "The End" is used as the theme for Armageddon. Despite all my wonderous talents and skills I have not yet developed the ability to predict the future and I'm still working the kinks out of my time machine design. So you see, there is no way I could have know that!

Make sure you know what you're talking about before bumping an old thread just to call someone out.
