This episode screams total filler. Didn't care too much for it at all. It may have given a small dose of character development, but I for sure didn't see it. I mean, we didn't even see how the jacket was created to affect those girls that way, what the consequences were for R.J. (he didn't really seem to care at all that his jacket was stolen), and the way the girls reacted was totally annoying. It did seem like a basic rehash of the Xander episode that had every girl falling for him.

Next week's episode looks more promising than this one was.

No one else has anything to say, or is it difficult to find these threads now that we're talking about Smallville and Birds of Prey here as well?

I was very unimpressed with this episode. Last week being a repeat, I was expecting something a lot better than this purely filler episode. Honestly, it was boring me so much I sort of stopped watching about 20 minutes before it was done. And Dawn, who was actually climbing up in my actually liking her scale, was back to her very annoying, whininess again. Understandable, to an extent, but nonetheless irritating as anything!

Not much here to develop anything, even the plot itself. Next week looks promising, though.

At least now we finally know where Whitney really went off to after the first season of Smallville (basic training my foot!). I mean, jeez was that guy freakishly similar or what?

And come now, what's with the blatant ripeoff of 24 with the simultaneous present-time view of all the characters acting out their spell-induced attempt to get that kid to notice 'em.

You just know Xander cut a piece of the 'miracle jacket' off on the downlow, just in case. ;)

Can you really blame him, though? If I were him, I doubt I would have passed it up. ;)

I didn't notice the blatent 24 rip-off, but I've never watched the show, so that is probably why. The Whitney resemblance is uncanny, though and that was beyond similar -- I think Whitney's got a twin or something. :D

I dunno about the rest of you but I didn't really buy, no matter how much Buffy tried to convince the audience and herself, that Whitney-clone neccessarily as the bad guy of the episode. A bad student maybe, but I think he got a bad rap since he had no idea what was going on and didn't really tell any of the girls to take the actions that could've gotten them lengthy jail time or worse. (If I'm wrong about this please forgive me, this ep. kinda got boring after a while and I was flipping back and forth :o )

Really couldn't say there was any quote, unquote big bad here, it basically just looked to me as if the jacket was no more than a cheap excuse for the females to get sexy and seductive w/ the occasional catfight thrown in here or there for a change of pace. Not to say I didn't get a kick outta that stuff in and of itself but they should've at least found a more interesting way to do it, like in that old Xander chick-magnet episode witness mentioned earlier.

That had to be one of the worst Buffy eps I ever had the displeasure of watching..I wasted an hour of viewing time last night while I was waiting for 24 to come on

If there are anymore eps like that..then maybe it is time to put the show out to pasture

and the scene with the blatent 24 rip off...UGH! I wish I did not see that..especially from a show that always stood out from the crowd as being unique...bad move on who ever came up with that idea

The plot device and gimmick was.... old and tired. But, the humor was great. I constantly continued laughing throughout this episode. Xander is one of my favorite characters of all-time. :)

Next week's episode seems to be awesome.

Well it wasn't...bad, at least entirely. I think there were several fine scenes: at the Bronze - Xander wanting to rip his eyes out for oogling Dawn, Willow's determination that RJ's orientation doesn't matter at least until she decides to change it, Anya turning into a cat burgler. But on the whole it was a bit of a drag. Once all of them starting proclaiming their undying love I wanted to vomit. But c'mon, Buffy going to off the principal with a bazooka and Spike tackling her - that was priceless :)

Yeah it was a forgettable filler episode but I didn't completely hate it except for all the parts at the high school. Never show me the high school again, it's already old and uninteresting.

This wasn't a great episode, but like someone else said it was a fun filler episode. The scene of Spike running away with the bazooka while Buffy was chasing him in front of the principals window was great. Next weeks does look interesting too.

I actually thought the episode was decent. Sure, it wasn't as good as some of the others, but it had its moments. I liked the Xander/Spike stealing the jacket scene the most.

Xander: Do you understand the plan?
Spike: Yeah, I think I got it.
::Xander and Spike run up to RJ, steal jacket, and run like hell::
LOL, I really enjoyed that and the principal scene.

There was a bit of character development, didn't anyone notice Spike turning all the angel statues away from him at RJ's brother's house? There's also the new living situation between Spike and Xander, it should be interesting to see how that turns out.

Overall, it was a very humorous episode. But next week's looks excellent. :D

this season is a definitely better than the last season. it is amazing how much this show can improve when it is not centered around buffy and spike doing the nasty.

I'm sorry but this episode sucked big. All of the characters were TOO pathetic. Actually FF through parts in fact. Dawn-centric eps will always lead to no good...

And since when does Willow detest penis's so much(I mean she was quite the opposite on Graduation)? Damn these writers need a refresher and watch some of these new fangled DVD things they are putting out...
