Hypothetical question:
Assume that Bruce, died in BB's near future - how would Terry turn out?
Would Terry be able to lead the dual life he currently operates after High School - or is being alone part of the Batman?
Do you think he would turn into Bruce?

This is what might happen, Terry would not just give up the cape on a simple fact that Bruce Wayne had died. If anything that would give him more motivation to keep on fighting.
But Unfortunatly Terry at this stage is never going to get near the true standard of Batman and he will probably be killed by some new criminal or something.

I think that if Bruce died in the near futur it will make Terry even more determined to keep on being BATMAN. Terry would then become an accomplished Batman since he will be on his own, but let's not forget that he has friends to help him like Max, Barbara Gordon and Tim Drake...Dick Grayson is another possibility ...maybe he will return to Gotham city to help and guide Terry.
Anywho, Terry will survive and will become stronger btw, he has friends who will help him moraly along the way ...

Do you really think they would kill Terry off so easily? Without Bruce, He may just be more focused than ever. You can see that he terry worries about his responsibilities as batman. He wants to live up to name Batman in his own way, if you noticed in eps. like FINAL CUT and INQUELING, he has alot of determination to do things own his own. you can see that in season 3 that there's less of Bruce and Max. the kid's learning to be independent. Slowly but surely...... if only they would do some eps. to see how things will turn out about 10 yrs. ahead...

Thinking back on Batman's life, and Bruce's life, this is what I feel would happen. I think Terry would become a great Batman. Losing Bruce would drive him to his cause more, and I think that he would inherrit all of Bruce's good traits, but none of his bad traits that were cast on him so tragically at the loss of his parents and the like.

everyone so far seems to be on the same page. If bruce were to go, this would push terry to go on and perfect his way of the Bat. Terry really looks up to bruce as a mentor and would go on to honor his reputation, i feel...

Terry will do one of two things, both resulting in him becoming a better Batman. Either he will descend into madness, thus making him a greater threat to the criminal element or he will accept his mentor's death as a sign that he is the Batman and must carry on. If I recall, it was a few years before Batman joined with Robin. So Batman is fully capable of taking care of himself. But Terry has Max (potential candidate for the new Batgirl) to help him.
