It seems as though every time you watch the news they're saying something about the Grand Theft Auto videogame series. Do you think there is anyway to stop that? besides for toning down the overall violence and rewarding you for killing innocent people? or Should they just ban the game? any ideas?

a little exaggerated reality on what would be the fate of the game

I honestly haven't seen GTA get any media attention at all lately. Bad or otherwise.

Same here but I did see a report on the sniper relating to games and they showed pictures of Counter-Strike. That's about the only negative media coverage I've seen any game get recently.

My suggestions: recall the game and make the following changes:
Bumping into hookers gives you messages about wearing condoms.
Make every character in the game white so that it doesn't appear to be playing into racial stereotypes.
Giant pictures of Nancy Reagan and Mr. T (current medicinal marijuana crusader) in "Just Say No" ads on billboards and in subways.
Police give positive messages when they bust you, such as "Crime doesn't pay" or "Look both ways before crossing".
As long as we're going all eighties, let's introduce a-team style gunfights, where something near your opponents explodes and knocks them unconscious.
If you break any laws within the game, it causes the central CPU to fry, destroying your playstation forever. Because really, CRIME DOESN'T PAY!
All I can think of right now.

I only seen one and it wasn't that bad. Mosty going on that kids under 18 were buying GTA.
