Would you rather be a superhero or a supervillain?

With the superpower thread (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54130) going on, I figured this question would go well with it.

Would you rather be a superhero or a supervillain? You have your various superpower, but now the question is, what do you do with them? Do you use themn for the betterment of mankind and be adored by millions, or do you use them for your own personal gain, and perhaps the enslavement of all mankind? Or perhaps you're a shade of gray that falls between hero and villain?

Being a hero would be nice. you'd be popular, and people would love you and stuff, but for some reason I think it would be cooler to be a villain. You get a secret lair, you probably have a lot of cash from various crimes you've commited, you command your own group(or perhaps army) of stooges/henchmen/minions. Also, you never have to worry about when the hero can attack, because it'll only happen when you do something evil, so you can plan for him/her. And perhaps the greatest bonus of being a supervillain is the evil laugh. This is a key to being a great supervillain.

So let's hear you answers. Will you be fighting for the forces of good, or will you be evil? And there's always the chance you may be somewhere in between. Get voting!

Supervillain, all the way. Your options of things to do and evil to stir up are a lot more open when you're a villain; as a hero, you have those damn things known as morals usually holding you back.

A supervillian. A supervillian has access to all the cool weapons of mass destruction. You can also have slaves and underlings to do your bidding.

A superhero has a uphold the law and rules which can be boring.

Hero! It's too easy being bad, at least for me :p It's a challenge to be good, and I'm always up for a challenge! Plus it's just more enjoyable in the long run being a superhero...neat clothes too.

I wanna be one of those angst-ridden killers that barely talk and have a dark aura around them and start out as a villain, but end up on the side of good, but no one can be too sure and often doubted by everyone but the main leader of the team and does completely questionable things and takes no crap whatsoever!

I would be the anti-hero. Neither goody-good or baddy-bad. Well, I would help youngsters and the elderly and anybody I like on my own will if they are in trouble, but every one else has to pay up. :p

My second choice would be superhero, I guess since I can be a good person most of the time. :D

Last would be supervillian. Sure it would be fun causing fear and chaos among the people, but 99% of the time you will lose and you will lose badly since Justice will almost always prevail. :p

The bit with me is that I would have a supervillain's ambition and drive(not to mention all that wacky dialogue and of course, the MONEY). Yet my personality fuses altruism with pragmatism, and a lot of humor.

Villains tend to get great lines and talented VAs/seiyuus. But heroes get theme songs devoted to them, cooler powers, sometimes a significant other; most importantly, they get to help other people.

In other words, I want to be a smarter version of Paul and Jan Crouch. For over 28 years, plotting to take over the world in the name of Jesus. :D

Villains tend to have all that relentless drive and ambition, clearly misdirected toward a selfish goal. Heroes' drive and ambitions vary, depending on the circumstance; usually their motives are, at worst, merely self-absorbed. [I think of Yusuke here.]At the core of a hero is a heart wanting to help others.

A good example of the fusion needed here: Batman. Here's a guy with the drive, the ambition, the money, and the heroic nature. The only thing lacking for Batman is cheesy lines such as: "Eternia will be MINE!" Then again, what does Batman want with He-Man's planet? The Dark Knight resides on Earth. :D

I think of such semi-complex villain/heroes as Master Asia, Treize K., Zechs M. when considering my choice.

Hmmm. I guess probably something inbetween. I can imagine getting myself into some sort of predicament like what's seen in JMS's Rising Stars - you know, attempting to disarm the entire nuclear arsenal of the world, but ending up being viewed as a threat in the end by the Powers-That-Be.

Oh yeah. Anti-heroes are severely overrunning our television airwaves these days, and as cool as it'd be to be a broody, loner, lawless, leather-clad own-sense-of-morals-and-honor-hidden-in-the-inside anti-heroine, being a supervillain would be much more fun :) I'd merrily stomp on your city and ripping apart your airplanes and tanks would bring a girlish smile to my lips.
