When you have some money to blow, what better way to blow it buy buying lots of cartoon junk! :p :p :p I got this stuff yesterday:

---Wendy's Looney Tunes Action Pens II I got Bugs, Road Runner, and Pepe, I'll have to check back this week for Elmer and Tweety. I suggest buying these guys. The last set of them are going for $5 at collector's shops...EACH! It seems like last year's theme was "Villains", this year it's "Heros".

---My Life in Toons was at my local Media Play for only $4. The book is good so far, some very funny stories about Joe at MGM....

---Cartoon Classics: Starring Mickey and Minnie and Mickey & the Gang These were only $2.99 each! I feel sort of ticked that a few weeks ago, I had to pay the full $4.99 for the Pluto tape.

I bought that book a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. Joe tells some very interesting behind-the-scenes stories about the Hanna-Barbera and MGM cartoons.

Where did you find them for only $2.99 each? Were they used or new? I can remember when those tapes first came out ... Disney was selling them for $12.99 - $14.99 each!

Believe it or not, in late 1998 / early 1999, I found a bunch of new copies of many of the Disney Cartoon Classics and Mini-Classics videos for only $2.50 each at many of the local Wal-Mart stores! I added a lot of great stuff to my collection. :D

They were at my local BlockBuster. They'll take tapes that weren't exactly the most rented titles of all time and throw them in the PRE-VIEWED bin. There was a discout where all pre-viewed VHS and DVDs were $2 off! The tapes were used of course.
