View Full Version : The Last BB Comic Ever?

With all this talk of CN picking up BB, and the final issue of BB coming this week, I've got a question, one of those annoying "What if" questions: If BB has good ratings on CN and they decide to make some new episodes, what are the chances that a BB comic book, even a mini-series, will ever grace the shelves of a comic books store near you? I'm sure there'd be people willing to write and draw it, and I'm sure fans would still pick it up. Any thoughts?...

I am not stating any facts here, but I think that if the JL animated comic book does good, and BB gets good ratings on CN, then that is justifiable enough of a reason for us to get Batman Beyond back in comics! With all new scripts by Paul Storrie!

I'd love to see the BB comic return with Storrie/Ku/Beatty/Lougridge in two, but I think this final is just that - the final issue. Sure it will hit CN and get good ratings, but probably nothing it had on KWB. It'll be a success by cable's standards. Besides, with the comic losing over 1, 000 readers a month doesn't bode well at all for it.

Yes, that's great WB logic for you there again. The comic book did lose readership every month, which told them to can the book, but in reality, it's not the caracter that wasn't selling books, it was the poor creative team on it. Ahg, the poor handling of that book in the hands of DC frustrates me so. If they had Storrie writing some great scripts for it, the readership would pick back up, because Batman Beyond is still popular among the fans, but even the fans wouldn't be suckered into buying a weak comic book. I don't think the weak sales of the comic book were reflective of the characters in the book, but the creative team on it.

It sux cause this is one of the few books I started collecting from the very beginning. It'll be weird not getting this book anymore after this month. Or maybe I'm just weird. Either way...

This too was my first series I ever started to collect. I am mad that they are ending it. I felt proud to say that I owned the first 6 issues of BB. and then the ongoing series. But no it is worthless.

The series ending does suck. It was starting to finally get it's groove, and had some enjoyable stories near the end. I own all the BB issues, too. It's gonna be weird getting only two animated titles, until JLAdv comes out.
