Well, it's a pretty good opening for Jay & Silent Bob. With a $20 million budget, they should be able to make it back in no time. The movie should have some legs to carry it to at least October and a nice $40 mill gross. Meanwhile, Summer Catch fumbled, Ghosts of Mars spaced out, and Bubble Boy burst. Bubble Boy wasn't even present on the top 12!. Here's the top ten:

1. American Pie 2 - $12, 802, 000 million ($110 mill)
2. Rush Hour 2 - $11, 400,000 million ($183.3 mill)
3. Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - $11, 100, 000 million ($11.1 mill)
4. The Others - $8, 600, 000 million ($46. 2 mill)
5. Rat Race - $8, 300, 000 million ($26 mill)
6. Summer Catch - $7, 535, 000 million ($7.5 mill)
7. Princess Diaries - $6, 700, 000 million ($83 mill)
8. Captian Corelli's Mandolin - $3, 877, 000 million ($14 mill)
9. John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars - $3, 800, 000 ($3.8 mill)
10. Planet of the Apes - $3,530, 000 ($168 million)

That's the top 10 for this week! Also, it looks like JP3 will close out with $180 million gross. It's currently up to $173 million.

AP2 can't be THAT good! Oh well, topping 10 million isn't too bad, still the funniest movie I've seen in a long time...

I saw it, I didn't think AP2 was THAT good. But it is nice to see that RH2 is still doing well.

Bubble Boy failed...MISERABLY! Heeeheheeeee....Maybe Tom Green was right. The gross out genre is dead. Thank God!

Bubble Boy missed the top 12? Ah, there is a God.

Not a bad opening for Jay and Silent Bob... to date, Smith's highest grossing film (Dogma) made $30 mil. And the dude is good at working on a budget, so making some profit on the flick is a given.

I thought American Pie 2 was pretty good myself... not as good as the original, but nice, brainless, semi-sweet fun.

American Pie 2 was pretty good. Though, I can't believe it's still the number 1 movie in America. I'm glad to see that RH2 might brake 200 million. Surprised JP3 probably won't, and I'm real happy Bubble Boy bombed! Hopefully, with good reviews Jeepers Creeprs might open at the number 1 spot.
