Have not heard of any word of a capture at this point. We do have a couple of leads, though. The CSU was able to pick up a shoeprint from where the man kicked in the back door, plus some fingerprints. Unfortunately, the fingerprints were not that great because of the surfaces of the back doorknob which is brass and where the burgular touched a videotape rewinder when he removed the speakers. Both of the surfaces have a tendency to smudge fingerprints, we were told.
The good news though, is that the same man tried to rob our neighbor's house, but he happened to be home. The robber was surprised when my neighbor answered the door, and made up some phoney story about looking for a particular road which doesn't exist in my county. My neighbor gave a very good description of the man and the vehicle to the police. He was not able to get a tag number, however. But we found paint on our gate that matched the color of the vehicle the neighbor described which collaborates his story.
I'll write more when and if there is more to write.
Thank you to everybody for your concern.
