It is so unbearably cool that Batman Beyond is getting moved to Cartoon Network, but this leaves me with more than a few questions about the series' future. Will there be a new season of Batman Beyond? Cartoon Network's
laid-back restrictions would allow the series to grow in great new ways. No more $#^@ commercial shorts with Pokemon, and a whole bevy of mature themes could be introduced to the series. Batman The Animated series was beautiful, deeply moving and intelligent...Lets hope that with this move Batman Beyond has a chance to wind up the same way.

There probably won't be new episodes. Certainly the door is open if the show gets extremely good ratings, but Freakazoid got great ratings (and, according to Paul Rugg, the possibility of new eps if ratings were good)... and no new episodes.

Still, weirder things have happened.

You gotta think, though, if the Justice League does well and the Batman Beyond re-runs get good ratings that a fourth season could be done. Even if it was thirteen episodes to wrap everything up, I'd be all for it...

Seeing that the show was never cancelled, I would hold out hope too. Was Freakazoid cancelled before it went to CN?

I'm not sure but I do believe that Freakazoid! was canceled, and it did take a while for it to be picked up by CN. But with BB it's the exact opposite, no cancellation and a fast move.

I think it's unlikely becuase the crew behind BATMAN BEYOND has split and gone their ways. They are stretche dout over four projects (JL, Zeta, Static, and movies) so it's pretty slim. The only "new" episode we'll get is the unaired UNMASKED.

I agree that its unlikely with the Justice League, I don't think CN would have 2 new Batman related projects going on at the same time. Perhaps we'll see some more of the future Justice League though?

UNMASKED is a certainty, especially with the show going to CARTOON NETWORK. We are definatly gonna get it!!
