Mine's are:

The Crow - Special 1 (A very liked story)
Times & Punishment - Special 5
Nightmare on Evergreen Street - Special 6 (funny the debut were cartoons reference)
Homer3 - Special 6 (My best)

"Dial Z For Zombies", hands down. That one is simply TOO funny... especially seeing Lisa briefly transform into a snail ("I never realized what a beautiful young woman you've become!").

I also like "Time and Punishment" a lot too. A number of good gags used in that one with tons of pop culture refs (like the appearance of a certain Jay Ward boy/dog team).

Last but not least, I also like "Hungry are the Damned" from THoH I. Interesting story but with kind of a cop-out ending.

I actually like one of the early ones the best: The one where the talking Krusty the Clown doll comes to life and tries to kill Homer :p

(The one where the talking Krusty the Clown doll comes to life and tries to kill Homer)

homer3 was a great one

Nightmare on Evergreen Street

Dial Z For Zombies

there are others but thats all I can think of at 4:50 am and less then 30 mins of sleep the night before

If there is an edit in "Clown Without Pity" (the name of the one where Bart's Krusty doll repeatedly attacks Homer), here's what was probably edited.

After witnessing a totally all-nude Homer running starkers past her and her two sisters, Patty finally says, "There goes the last lingering thread of my heterosexuality." Can't say I blame her. :D ;) :p

I like the Mr. Burns vampire one.

"His hair looks so queer"
"I HEARD THAT!"

Best ones:

Bad Dream House - The first instalment. Favourite moments:

Homer arguing on the phone... "You never said this house was built on an ancient Indian burial ground.... NO YOU DIDN'T... NO.. YOU DIDN'T..... NO... WELL, NOT TO MY RECOLLECTION, GOODBYE!!!"....... "He said he mentioned it about five or six times."

After Lisa describes the vortex in the kitchen, Homer throws in an orange.... "Here, catch!" and the paper which is returned.... "Quit throwing your garbage into our dimension!!"

Bart: "Make the walls bleed!"
House: "NO."
Bart: "Come on, we OWN you, now let's see some blood!!"
House: "I don't have to entertain YOU!!"

The Raven - (Who can forget the classics?)

Homer: "Stupid censers" (Did he mean, "censors"?)

Dial "Z" For Zombies- - This one is absolutely hilarious. There's WAY too many good jokes in this one- but here's a few of my favourites:

Homer blows Flanders away with his shotgun. Lisa: "Yay, dad, you killed the zombie flanders!!" Homer: "Flanders is a zombie?? AAAAHHHHHH"

Bart bringing Snowball back to life "Ramses, Trojan, etc..." ;) (mbwah- Goodnight, everyone!!" :yakko: )

Bart Simpson's Dracula - again, another one which never gets tired. Favorite moments:

The vampire shadow making the cat's cradle, yoyo, etc. for a split-second before exiting.

Bart, reading the Happy Fun Slide sign: "Oh, when am I ever going to get a chance like this again.... Wheeeeeee, wheeeee, wheeeeeeee- uh oh-"

Homer: "Kill my boss? Do I dare live out the American dream?"
and after the staking- Mr. Burns wakes up for a split-second, "YOU'RE FIRED!!".... DOH!!!

Time And Punishment - Yes, this one is another of the best ones. My favourite scene is the one where Homer has the perfect family, driving to school in the different Lexus', behaving like a dream family, but with no donuts... "AHHHHHHHHHHH"... then after he leaves the reality, donuts begin to fall from the sky... Marge:" Oh dear, it's starting to rain AGAIN."

Horror at 5 1/2 Feet (I'm not sure about the title, but it's the parody of "Horror at 37,000 feet", a movie which scared the bejeebers out of me when I watched it as a kid).

Flanders: "Aw, isn't that cute? He's trying to scratch my eyes out."

Homer 3 - The Simpsons rendered in 3D.

Patty: "You mean vanished into FAT air"
Homer: "I HEARD THAT!!!"

How come no one has mentioned "The Devil and Homer Simpson", that's an awesome short!

Homer: Flanders! You're the devil?
Flanders: Well, it's always the one you less expect.

Also, "Time and Punishment" which features Homer arriving to a alternate world in which the family is rich, but Homer finds that donuts do not exist there. He freaks out and leaves, only for us to see a rain of donuts, literally! :D

Mmmmmmm.... forbidden donut............

Oh man, how could I forget THAT one??? It was GREAT!!

Marge: "Homer, stop picking at it!!"
Homer: "But Marge, I'm so sweet and tasty."

Even though this is kind of on the wrong board, I'll list my favorites:

The Shinning - "You mean 'shining'." "Shhh. You wanna get sued?"

Desperately Xeeking Xena - featuring Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl

Life's a Glitch, Then You Die

Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace

Bart Simpson's Dracula - "Now let's go back to that...building thingy...where our beds and TV...is."

Time and Punishment

The Devil and Homer Simpson - You gotta love that jury of the damned.

In my opinion, the last two specials bit the big one, but this year looks to be a terrific return to form.

Well the Simpson's halloween episodes are far and away the most 'cartoonish' of the series, AND they consist of 6-7 minute shorts instead of half hour episodes AND they will certainly be regarded as classics...but anyway...

My favorite is also the Dracula spoof, almost every joke in the short is funny, including:

"...Mr. Burns' house in [scary voice] pennsylvania [/scary voice]"

I love the Simpsons Halloween stuff, even a few of the early Tracy Ullman shorts had Halloweenish themes. my favorites:

"Scary Stories" (short from "The Tracy Ullman Show): Bart and Lisa exchange scary stories which come to life courtesy of Maggie.

"Hungry Are the Damned" - Great episode. First appearance of Kang and Kodos, BTW.

"The Raven" - A true classic. An excellent adaptation of Poe's famous poem.

"Clown Without Pity" - An overall great. A Krusty doll tries to kill Homer. "The doll's trying to kill me! And the toaster's been laughing at me!

"Dail Z for Zombies" - I really like how the zombies look into Homer's head for brains and can't find anything.:p

"Nightmare at 5 1/2 Feet" - A really funny short. I especially like how Bart goes completely insane after seeing the gremlin rip Flanders' head off.

"The Shining" - I really enjoy this one especxially when Homer goes crazy. "Don't mind if I do!"

"Time and Punishment" always made me laugh. Highlights: Flanders taking over the world, Peabody and Sherman make cameos, and Maggie voiced by James Earl Jones. I also, strangely enough, find the scene where that dog-bear thing shurgs.

"Terror of Tiny Toon" - A very gory episode. Not only because it's Halloween themed, but because Itchy and Scratchy star in it too.

These are my favorite gags from those episodes:

"The Devil and Homer Simpson":
Lionel Hutz: Rule 1, we can go to the bathroom every 30 minutes.
Flanders: Deal, rule 2, I'll pick the jury.
Lionel Hutz: Deal... (realizing) no, wait a minute...

"Terror at 5 1/2 ft."
Kang and Kodos laughing at Bart "who tries to destroy a creature that doesn't exist", only to find another monster wrecking their spaceship!

"Bart Simpson's Dracula"
Lisa: Dad, this is blood!
Homer: Correction, FREE blood! (takes a sip)

I'll post some more later.

Clown Without Pity (though the end where the doll becomes Homer's friend is a cop-out)
Easy Bake Coven (the one where Marge is a witch)
Time and Punishment
Nightmare Cafeteria
I Know What You Did-iddly Did (The "I Know What You Did Last Summer" Parody)
Scary Tales Can Come True
Night of the Dolphin
Hell Toupee (The one where Homer is possessed by Snake through his hair)
The one where Homer finds out that Maggie is Kang's daughter (I don't know what that's called)
Desperately Xeeking Xena
Citizen Kang
House of Whacks
Hex and the City
Send In The Clones (especially with the pan across the Homer clones, including Family Guy's Peter Griffin and the Homer from the Tracy Ullman cartoons when he wasn't that fat or stupid or a jerk like he is now)

That's "Starship Poopers", which is also a favorite of mine. I forgot to mention:

Hell Toupee
The Homega Man
Nightmare at 5 1/2 Feet
Nightmare Cafeteria - "I have a gut feeling that Uter's around here somewhere. After all, isn't there a little Uter in all of us? In fact, you could say we just ate Uter and he's in our stomachs right now. Ha ha ha ha. No, wait. Scratch that last one."
Terror of Tiny Toon - "Wow, Lise. We're characters in a cartoon." "How humiliating."

Larry T - I once thought that, myself, but that ("censur", or spirit, I guess) was part of the original poem.

Of course, Lonestarr- I knew it was part of the original poem (I can recite the entire thing without cuecards d'jya know ;) ) but it sure was a clever play on words.....

Wasn't "Nightmare Cafeteria" based on the movie "Soylent Green"?

Yes and no. It was more based on the movie "Motel Hell" than anything else. "Motel Hell" featured the owners of a hotel where they actually caught humans, and "nurtured" them so they could be cooked. The motel had the best meat in town because of this. People loved to eat stuff from the hotel.

But then again, the school was cooking the children because of a shortage of food (I think) and this is reminiscent of Soylent Green's concept of processing dead bodies into a snack cake like thing because there was such a high demand for food (due to a huge population) and the supply couldn't cut it.

Some of my favorites include the parody of Arthur Miller's play The Crucible where the characters are set in colonial Springfield and Marge is accused of being (and really is) a witch. I also like the short titled "The Thing and I" where Bart finds out he has a twin brother named Hugo who has been kept up in the attic.
