View Full Version : Why Hasbro, Why?

Does anyone here know what Hasbro's inane obsession with making like 10 Batman variations for every villain is in the Batman Beyond line? Sure, a variation here and there can be nice, but with BB it's totally monotonous! The only villains produced were J-Man (denoted as being "The Jokerz" too - oy :o ), Blight (nude!) and two nobody Jokerz. I mean, surely Inque, Spellbinder and Shriek would have been more worthwhile, apt choices? And what happened to that Stalker figure that I saw a picture of at The Bat Beyond a few months ago?
And, how come they are so cheap too? Everyone knows repainting saves money, which is all nice and fine when one has a line of this size, but not at this magnitude. And why on Earth couldn't they have made the effort to produce some decent ROTJ figures?! (On that note, does anyone have a picture of the Arkham Mayhem Joker figure from that line?).
Sorry if I sound like I'm ranting on, but this subject really irks me. :)

To them, Batman's where the money's at. What little kid cares if he has a bad guy to fight his gazillion Batman figures? As long as they have Batman. Remember, Hasbro could give a (expletive deleted) whether or not the consumer is totally happy, as long as that money keeps coming in the door. BOOYAH, Hasbro, where's the comeback to that?!?!?
Hasbro's response::eek: ! He knows our secret! Deploy the robot killer dogs...:p

That's just the way life is. If you want some good BB figures start customizing. A nightwing body with a BB head makes an accurate Terry Batman. Plus Undercover Bruce Wayne makes an excellent old Bruce Wayne. I never liked BB toys anyways because they didn't watch the streamlined style of the show.

How do you make a custom toy ? That seems hard? Any links with custom figures?

Its just too bad the Batman line doesn't get the same attention as the Star Wars one, I mean come on...that line pretty much never has repaints, are well detailed, and they don't discriminate against those with minor parts (Looks at all the aliens and small bit characters they have figures for). If they treated Star Wars like Batman we'd have about a bajillion "Night Raider Super Skywalker"s and probably not even a single Stormtrooper.

With this post read, I'm sure you can understand what WB saw in Hasbro and chose them for the BB "toy line". ;)
With such a blankedy blank BB line, I'm glad we got the TNBA ones when we did. But I STILL don't have my Power Cap Batman yet....

The Hasbro BB toyline was simply dreadful. The guy who decided the Terry Batman figure should own a tatty felt cape should be shot...
