It's okay to air the Cartoon Cartoons for those who like them, but do they have to be overplayed?

I was going to say 'delete them entirely' but that would be too harsh. I chose 'show them once in a while'. I miss the gold ol' days of CN where there was more "classic cartoons" and less "original programming". At the time, the only original programming was the "World Premiere Toons" show and Space Ghost. And back then, they also showed the 60's H-B cartoons a lot, too, like Yogi, Huckleberry, Snagglepuss, etc. Do they even show those anymore?

No, instead they created Boomerang and put them all on there. To my knowledge, the only Hanna-Barbera cartoons CN shows these days are Scooby Doo, The Jetsons, and The Flintstones.

To be totally honest with everyone, I picked "Show them seldomly" for the basic reason is because CN is playing these new cartoons TO DEATH
Since CN has started the home made crap back in 95, I

Made an error, but I will continue on this this topic....
Since CN has started presenting their home made crap back in 1995, I have never been a fan of their cartoons, and for many reasons.
1.Several of the shows are so badly animated, these new cartoons makes "Rocky And Bullwinkle" look like if it was made by the Disney studios.
2.I can't believe on how much murder these cartoons get away with...They (CN) butcher and does countless editings in their classic cartoon library, and some of them for no reason, but they won't dare cut out anything with the new stuff , and some of these cartoons are pretty raunchy, such as JOHNNY BRAVO, COW AND CHICKEN, ED, EDD, N EDDY, POWERPUFF GIRLS, and I'AM WEASEL....WHICH ALL OF THESE SHOWS SUCKS, BIG TIME !!!
3.CN pays more attention to the newer cartoons(such as this all weekend long marathon) than the classics, a classic toon marathon might get anywhere's between 16 to 48 hours, while a "Garbage Garbage" marathon will get 50 hours.
4.A lot of viewers don't get "Boomerang"(such as myself) and we have CN that seems to be pushing aside the older for the newer material on their network.
5.If I had to choose between the "Nicktoons" or "Garbage Garbage", I would pick the Nicktoons in a second..At least some of their cartoons are pretty funny, where as CN's home made junk is not, but just disgusting cartoon toilet humor trying to get a laugh :o
I like I said, I will not be tunning in for this all weekend long crap, and thank god college football is on all weekend long :D :D :D

As for little moi, I say RUN THE CRAPTOON, CRAPTOONS through a stinkin' paper shredder!!! I think one viewing one time of any of these "things" is more than enough exposure for them. Once in a blue moon the statistical gamblers odds of bonafide humor being in these does turn up, but it's in the 1 in 80 million Powerball range of odds. I think given my druthers I'd sooner see the worst theatrical cartoon EVER made to any of these. CN these are YOUR viewers talking here...

I voted for the 3 or 4 hours per day. That'll still leave us classics fans 20 hours a day!
I happen to think Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, and Samurai Jack are quite good. Also the Space Ghost C to C, and the similar ones on Adult Swim next month. But, yeah, most of the new stuff is pretty crappy. If it were better more often, it would be good to have new cartoons in order to expand the number of available cartoons. But, even then, it's the classics that really make CN good(better if they'd stop CUTTING the darn things, of course).
And their standards & practices double standard just stinks!

I always hated those Cartoon, Cartoons
from the start. The only good shows is
Courage the Cowardly Dog - but
that's about it! Does anyone remember
when CN delayed Bugs and Daffy
with (ugh!) Cartoon, Cartoons?

While I don't hate some of the Cartoon Cartoons, I can't help but wonderhow some of these cartoons got selected in the first place....I see absolutely no humor in "Sheep in the Big City", and I tuned into the new "Grim and Evil Show" this morning, and it's really nothing but a badly drawn ripoff of the Animaniacs' "Meatballs and Consequences" cartoon. I don't mind "Dexter," "Courage" is great, and "I am Weasel" and "Powerpuff" have their moments, but the rest really are lousy cartoons. And the worst ones, like "Ed, Edd, and Eddy", are all talk...they don't have much appealing animation, of which there is really little of as a whole in the first place. Why watch a cartoon if it isn't cartoony? I am sure some people like them, though, so the channel should keep them. Just show them 3 or 4 hours per day, separately or all at once, I don't care. "Looney Tunes" is a 4 hour program and gets one hour per night each week, that should be enough for Cartoon Cartoons, too. As long as the junk stays separate from the good stuff, I don't care where it goes. And yes, I remember the-easy, stomach, don't turn over now....-"Cartoon-cartoon of the Day....
