Hey again! Man am I posting a lot! N-E-Ways, I want to know what's going on in the toys department: Someone a while back mentionned rumours of another S:TAS four-pack featuring Supes, Lois, Lex (in a suit) and someone else. Now, I doubt this will happen, but I am curious as to what you guys do know about it. Is it fact or fiction?
Also, any word on if there will be any more TNBA four pack exclusives a la Commish Gordon? Thanx!

I think Hasbro waits until the JL show gets popular, then they'll make a JL toyline. Until then we'll get a lot of repaints a la Wal-Mart 2 Packs.

If they make a JL line I hope they'll release a batplane, it appears in the show.

Those new STAS toys are supposed to be a TRU 4pack. Included
are Superman,Lois,Luthor (rumored suit), and Braniac. This info
comes from a very reliable source at Raving Toy Maniac. The fellow
over there broke the news about Alfred and Commish 4packs.
Lois is suppose to be very cool. Haven't seen a post yet, but I'm
pretty optimistic about it coming out.

I'm pretty sure that Joker Inc also reported about the Superman Lois 4 pack and they're a really good relaible source.

i think all those toys are just a load of crap to make money with, after the first series they just make up crap in order to sell toys, they take the same toy, paint it a little different and give it a new wepon/whatever and bam! brand new toy. i rember when btas had its toyline out, they actually had one of batman in an orange suit, try blinding into the shadows in bright orange.

of course the toys are out to make money? why did you think they were out? because of humanity?

Don't diss the BTAS toyline. Its the best that Hasbro ever did with Batman much better than STAS and especially Batman Beyond I mean here are the lists for the decent non neon colors stuff that each series had.

BB
Power Cape Batman
Blight
Joker Two pack
J-man
Terry with motorcycle
BB Batmobile

STAS
Superman
Luthor
Braniac
Metallo
Bizzarro
Supergirl
Darkseid
Clark Kent with Car
Quick Change Superman

TNBA
Batman
Robin
Nightwing Joker
Creeper
Freeze
Two Face
Riddler
Gordon
Alfred
Mad Hatter
Under Cover Bruce Wayne
Knight Strike Batmobile
Gotham City Bank

BTAS
Batman
Robin
Bruce Wayne
Dick Grayson
Batgirl
Two Face
Joker
Harley Quinn
Riddler
Mr Freeze
Bane
Ras Al Ghul
Clayface
Man Bat
Phantasm
Catwoman
Posion Ivy
Killer Croc
Penguin
Scarecrow
Batmobile
Batplane
Batcave/Wayne Manor

Anywho, I know that BTAS had a bunch of repaint crap figures. But not as many as STAS or BB or TNBA Mission Masters crap.

Hey you forgot the Machine Gun Joker, I think it's awesome to have a Joker with a trenchcoat, a BTAS style MG and a Joker-bomb, which actually appeared in the show. BTW the Jokermobile and the Bruce Wayne Street Jet are awesome toys although they did not appear on the show.

Yeah those are some very cool toys from the BTAS toyline. I didn't mention them cause the argument was about how there was a lot of nonrepaints. But then again I guess he's not a repaint cause he's a different mold. I also have Jetpack Joker and I think he rules as well.

A Superman four-pack with Lois Lane and Luthor in his business suit? I'll buy it! Recently, it seems that these four packs are the only decent animated figures that Hasbro puts out (in fact, that's all they put out, save for Batman repaints). They seem to put two out (one for each show) every year, with hard-to-find figures or brand new ones (correct me if I'm wrong):

1999 (Batman)-Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl
1999 (Superman)-Superman, Batman, Luthor, and Joker (oh well)

2000 (Batman)-Batman (Silver Age?), Robin, Clayface (old), and Alfred
2000 (Superman)-Superman, Supergirl, Metallo, and Bizzaro

2001 (Batman)-Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and awful Commisioner Gordon
2001 (Batman)-Batman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy (old), and Two-Face (new)

Hopefully, next year, they'll do a Superman four pack with some of the figures promised to us way back in the February 1998 issue of Toyfare (I'm still waiting on Parasite, Livewire, Toyman, and Mr. Mxyzptlk!). Say, come to think of it, how come Toyfare's never done an exclusive Batman or Superman TAS figure?

While we're on the subject, does anyone reading this have a particular character they're waiting for Hasbro to produce? Two figures? A whole list? Put finger to keyboard and let's catalog some MIA figures!

I am really looking forward to seeing a good (emphasis on GOOD) Lois Lane , even though I know her skirt will be plastic and her legs won't move.
I wish I could see a blonde Selina Kyle figure (a la B:TAS), a Talia figure (B:TAS ir TNBA), a Barbara Gordon with quick change action figure, a Ra's Al Guhl in a suit and cape, a Harvey Dent figure, another Catwoman figure, but not in the style of TNBA, but rather a new mold of her once-proposed look for her once-proposed animated series (see Batman: Animated, the book), a Lex in a suit and Mercy two-pack, a Jor-El and Lara two pack (straight from Krypton!), a Zatanna figure, a Thomas and Martha Wayne with young Bruce and killer four pack (ya, right!) and a Livewire. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR? :)

BWDK
08-29-2001, 04:53 AM
Yeah that is too much...Before they make a young Bruce Wayne they have to make an appropriate adult Bruce Wayne first and how do they want to make a killer figure? No-one knows what the killer looks like...

Here are the figures I'd like to see:

(BTAS)
Selina Kyle
Bruce Wayne (no racing suit)
Dick Grayson (no racing suit)
Summer Gleeson (I think she's hot :) )
Rupert Thorne
Daggett
Some thugs
Scarface
Talia
an approriate Ra's Al Ghul
a taller Phantasm, Andrea is NOT as petite as Poison Ivy
a better Clayface figure
a better Scarecrow figure
Batboat (I really wonder why they never made one)
Batcycle (without a mold-on Batman)

(TNBA)
Bane
Killer Croc
Scarecrow
Catwoman
a GOOD Batgirl figure
Batplane (which transforms into a Batboat, the 2 vehicles look very similar)

Well, purely from a personal point of view, I'd love to see a Nora Fries (in suspended animation tube), with a Victor Fries 2-pack. That's be, excuse the pun, cool!

I posted this on a previous thread very similiar to this a few months back, and drew some flack over it ("We've already had enough Mr Freeze's" etc), but I say again, before anybody has another pop at me, this is just My Humble Opinion... :)

Don't tell me you never saw the Jokermobile cameo in "Joker's Wild"? :)

Yeah we already have two animated Mr Freeze, the "Tube Nora" is not a bad idea but I think other characters (which appeared to be ALIVE) would be more important, especially Summer Gleeson, she appeared in many episodes.

Hey BWDK, who says history never repeats itself!? Didn't we have this conversation three months ago!!?? :D

BWDK

yeah we did, but now I say that it's a good idea :D

Let's be honest it's very unlikely that they will ever make a Nora or a Summer.

Yeah, but we can dream..!

Did they ever do a Grey Ghost? One of those'd be cool too...

I didn't know that you had this discussion a few months ago. Oh well, guess I should have joined this forum sooner.

Since I brought it up (this time), here's my personal wish list:

Batman:
1) Maxie Zeus
2) Catwoman (new design)
3) Bane (new design)
4) Poison Ivy (new design)
5) Scarecrow (new design)
6) Riddler (old design, just improved upon)
7) Penguin (new design)
8) Ventriloquist/Scarface (old design)
9) Ras Al Ghul (his buffed-up look from The Demon's Quest, Part II)
10) Phantasm (with a male physique--like in the movie)
11) Clock King
12) Talia (old design--with the black leather jumpsuit)
13) Killer Croc (new design)

Superman:
1) Lex Luthor (in his business suit)
2) Metallo (full Terminator-style from Action Figures)
3) Parasite
4) Livewire
5) Toyman
6) Jax-Ur & Mala (with Phantom Zone projector)
7) Lobo (with motorcycle)
8) Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
9) Mr. Mxyzptlk
10) Karkull (the demon from The Hand of Fate)
11) Luminius
12) Titano
13) Kalibak
14) Desaad
15) Dr. Fate
16) Steppenwolf
17) the Parademons

That's not even including characters from Batman Beyond or the new Justice League show. Guess I'll have to update this later.

As for Nora Fries or Summer Gleason, I'd say it's unlikely but still possible with these four-packs...after all, I never expected to see Alfred or Jim Gordon either.

they don't make these toys because the kids play with the beefy ones. Hasbro says they're in it for the kids.

But, if the kids are like me, I begged hasbro day in and day out hoping for a Un-Masked 4-Pack of Tim Drake, Bruce Wayne, Barbra Gordon and Dick Grayson..just in their civilian cloths..it would've rocked..

...so far there is NO good Robin (DG) figure. The only acceptable DG Robin was a Batman Returns repaint with an awful looking head.

Tim Drake

I agree the DG figure sucks. However if anyone wants Nora Fries in suspended animation there is a recipe for it on www.ironcowprod.com It is amazingly easy to do and make it look good. I have one believe me!!
