hello all
green-eye glow here (name comes from my obsession w/ spawn.) i'll make my intro short and sweet:
i'm 24, and still in school. i still love collecting comics and certain figures, and i enjoy drawing in my little spare time. i've got a g/f who thinks i'm still 6 years old, but she still loves me (i think.) i've been reading the world's finest news for over 2 years, but only recently did i decide to venture out to the message boards.
i'm 3rd degree black belt in tae kwon do, although in retrospect, i think i should have started studying kung fu (huge bruce lee fan.)
and finally, I AM A DRAGONBALL EXPERT!!! i know almost anything there is to know about the series, and i've got paraphanelia out the yin-yang.
anyway, there you go (i think i'm done bragging. ;) i'm going to embrace all of you, and i hope you do the same. thanks :D

Wel, as head moderator/webmaster/reporter for WORLD'S FINEST - lemme just welcome you with open arms, bud! Mna - you've been reading ther newspage since day one! I hope you've been enjoying it! And my girlfriend treats me the exact same way - she thinks my thing with comics & cartoons are "cute". I think you're gonna fit in here just nicely, man. It's rare to see a Spawn fan around here. With the sales slipping and falling out of the top 25 (!), it's nice to see a few dedicated Spawn fans. I enjoy the character and thought SPAWN: TAS kicked butt! I can't wait for next years DTV Spawn animated movie!
Welcome to the community!

Hey, welcome to the boards!
I used to take tae kwon do, but then I quit 2 years ago to focus on schoolwork. I was a brown belt.

Aloha. Nice to hear from a martial artist.
I took Kempo for five years, but quit before receiving my black belt, because I realized the class didn't interest me anymore. I felt like the class was too social and that the training wasn't stringent enough.
I've researched a few different martial arts and studied Jeet Kune Do independently. I've never taken Gung-Fu(Kung-fu,) but I've been doing the basic execises for some time.
I recently found a new instructor and began learning Tong Tsu Do (spelling) forms.
Bruce Lee fan, eh. Have you read the Tao of Jeet Kune Do? What's your fave Bruce Lee movie? What did you think of "Dragon?"
Again, welcome and enjoy.

Hey howdy! This is a great board with precious little flaming or spamming. That's what keeps me coming back! Well, aside from the groovy folks as well...

mmax: i actually own a copy of "tao" and it's a really good read (if one has the open mind for it.) my favorite bruce movie is naturally "return of the dragon" (a.k.a. "way of the dragon.") it was the only movie in which he wrote the screenplay for, directed, and starred in. plus, the fight scene w/ chuck norris at the end has to be one of the best fight scenes in cinema history (even till this day, people on the set during the filming of the fight say that they were actually making contact during certain parts.) "enter the dragon" was a great movie, but i was upset that robert clouse didn't allow more of bruce's philosophy to reach the final cut. but the choreography was great (done by bruce, of course) and the plot was feasible. i think "game of death" would probably have been my favorite movie had bruce lived long enough to complete it (of course, clouse and raymond chow got their greedy little hands on the existing 15 minutes of footage w/ bruce in it and made a whole 2 hour feature just around those 15 minutes. it was horrible, and naughty, naughty to linda lee for selling the rights to "game of death" to those jerks.)
bird-boy: spawn V is one of the greatest mcfarlane figs ever made, but i think you should invest in more figs made in previous years. the sculpts and are paint application are second to none. i recommend the movie maniacs series (the terminator figures are coming out in september  )

fish: good find, man! those are probably the hardest seasons to find! i would hold onto those for safe-keeping (or if you want to open them up and view them, i have no problem w/ that either. :D )
