Does anyone know of a way to convert .RM, .AVI, MPEG2 formats from one to another? So far, all I've been able to do is capture .AVI (and the stills) - the MPEG codecs I've tried don't seem to like my hardware, and I've NO idea where .rm comes from or goes.
thanks

I can make RealVideo files from avi, mpeg, and mov files.
I DO NOT, though, have a video capture card for TV/VCR/DVD capturing.

A somewhat "simple" way to store your cartoons in DVD format on cheap CDR's is
to use a video capture card such as the DAZZLE DVII. I have been using it to
store my home video subjects and cartoon captures from CN for a few months
now.
I am up to almost 1000 cartoon on CDR's that fill one small shipping box. I can
play them back in MPEG2 format which is the same format used on commercial
DVDs. They are much easier to file, retrieve and allow perfect duplication. In
addition, I can single step frame-by-frame, forward or backward, edit, enhance
and manipulate.
You can save about 25 minutes of DVD quality on one CDR, so I get 3 or 4 cartoons
on each CDR that costs as little as 15 cents.
I am hoping that eventually I will be able to trade cartoons in this format.
