Hi, I'm a newbie, so I'm sorry if this has already been asked mentioned. What was the inspiration for the design of Inque while she is in her liqidy form (you know, white "face" and black everything else)? I ask because my screensaver is Salvador Dali pictures, and there is one picture that has a creature that looks exactly like Inque (sorry, I don't know the name). I was wondering if this was intentional, or if the resemblance is a figment of my overly used imagination.

Actually, when I first saw Inque, I thought she looked like the Bic mascot--black body, white face, bulbous noggin. Bic is famous for making cigarette lighters and inkpens, hence a monstrous pun.
I've seen ol' Sal's melting watches and surreal landscapes, but never knew he'd painted a woman who looked like a living oil slick. Could you post a sample, or a link to one, por favor?

Welcome to the boards!
I always thought that Inque was just a futuristic version of Clayface.... more smoother, sleeker, and deadly.
I just got the Bic inference. It does sound like it could have been that way.
Do you know where we could see the picture?

Believe it or not, I thought Bic pens too. But this (while not perfect) is a striking similarity. Especially if she was melting or something. I just thought it was cool and wanted to know if anyone else noticed it.

wow..it sure does look alot like Inque....
I always thought Inque was brought out of Clayface..my reasons:
Inque can move and shift like Clayface
Inque's daughter is named Deanna Clay
See the resemblance? :)

Genious Bird Boy. That makes perfect sense. It would of been cool if somehow Inque had a piece of Clayface in her.

I always thought Big Time was more like Clayface. Only appearance wise though. And maybe he could be like Bane or Killer Croc because of his strength.

Hmmm...this opens a new door, eh? Disney got slammed for using character designs from Nadia, and here the Batman Beyond folks are stealing images for their characters from other sources. The resemblance in that pic to Inque is too uncanny. I am sure it's not a coincidence!

I always thought Inque looked like a giant Lava lamp with the way it always looks like her body is running down her. She also does remined me of the Bic mascot

*shrugs* There's a difference between stealing and copying, and inspiration and influence. With Batman Beyond, I'm sure it's of the latter.
