I am so very ticked off that there not going to air any new episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and what I think they should do is put ATHF/SEALAB/BRAK SHOW on hiatus so that way ATHF/SEALAB/BRAK SHOW/SPACEGHOST could all have new episodes.

They aren't airing any because THERE ARE NONE TO AIR.

I... uh.. what?

Put ATHF on hiatus so that it could have new episodes? Does that make ANY sense to anybody else?

First of all.

Williams Street does not make Sealab or Brak. Sealab is done at 70/30 Productions and Brak is done at Wild Hare. So their production is irrelevent to the status of Space Ghost.

The reason Space Ghost is on hiatus is because the show passed its peak and after a few lukewarm episodes in 2001, it was getting too difficult to get celebrities to sit down for interviews, and the team was too busy with other projects. And I don't just mean ATHF, but also Adult Swim itself, and Toonami.

They can't do it anymore because it's simply not worth the effort. Other shows have taken Space Ghost's place, and are getting much better ratings. Space Ghost reruns have diminished so far that I doubt they think new episodes would do anything to increase ratings at all.

Well, for all we know, SG may be cancelled.

I hope it doesn't get canceled, I haven't seen all the episodes yet.

Even if it was cancelled, just because it's cancelled doesn't mean it'll get removed from the air. They're 2 different things.

Thank you for enlightening me on that.

I personally think that it was a good thing Space Ghost got cancelled. What do you want? For the series to go on 30 years like the Simpsons and just run on the fumes of the fumes of creativty long burned out? Let the show go out while we still have fond memories of it, support it in reruns, and continue to talk the show up, and maybe, just maybe, we will get those season set DVDs we all are hoping for.

I think what he meant was that the actual art and animation sequences are produced at Wild Hare and 70/30. The recording and final After Effects mixing is done at WS.

Here's how I feel about this. Space Ghost has had a great, and I might add, LONG run. I mean, come on, it started in 1994. I agree with Calhoun7: I love Space Ghost, but I would rather see it go out now than to risk it getting really bad, like what happened to the simpsons. Furthermore, I would rather have WS put their efforts into shows like ATHF, which are new, hilarious, and have potential to be around for a long time as well, than to keep pumping out more episodes of Space Ghost.

I'd accept this if the 2001 season was a horrible disgrace to the rest of the series, as Simpsons' last season was. But the 2001 episodes are quite possibly the funniest of all! At least the most consistently funny season, anyway. But I guess my opinions aren't what they go by.

Perhaps they were just so dissappointed that no one seemed to like the mommentary episodes (the pinnacle of their humor) and lost all hope, verging on suicide until they realized that there were other fish in the sealab. It's quite possible that we should look towards these other WS ventures as the only reason SGC2C might return and therefore should jump for joy at this hiatus.

Or you could ignore me since I'm tired and illogical.

remember, SGC2C has always been very sporadic with its seasons. It's gone more than a year without new episodes before. It's obviously on the back burner right now while WS focuses on the rest of AS, but I wouldn't be surprised if a new batch of episodes was made eventually. Probably not for a while, though.

Who ever said they're not making new episodes RIGHT NOW? ;)

Yeah, we internet people sometimes forget that we do not, in fact, know everything. Who are we to say they aren't making more episodes?

And I don't think they ever would have expected the Mommentaries to draw huge ratings... I think it was more just like, "We can't give you anything new for a while, but check this out." One of those things that they know the average person will hate, like "Sharrock," which was almost all "Please Stand By" messages.

And one can only wonder about the mysterious "Drop Out" that was scheduled and then removed...

They better not take space ghost off the air!

Sure, the shows are old, but hell, they are funny..and I think its quite amazing that they have soo many celebritys willing to go on the show

Long Live space ghost!

...like "Sharrock," which was almost all "Please Stand By" messages.

I was wondering if someone could tell me the name of a certain space ghost episode. It was an episode I saw a while ago where, like "Sharrock", in the middle of the episode there was some sort of "please stand by" screen, but instead of jazz music it was about two minutes of screeching guitar noise, presumably by "Man...or Astroman?" Anyone?

P.S. The Smoot-Hawley tariff was not a major contributor to the great depression.
