The show wasn't actually cancelled, just not renewed. KWB ordered 52 episodes and decided not to order anymore. It's a shame really. The main reason is becuase KWB can just buy shows from other companies for cheaper instead of making their own. That and Beyond doesn't fit the channel's "direction" anymore.
Welcome to the board, dude.

Ohhhh...that's like sticking a piece of chocolate in front of my face and telling me I can't eat it. That's horrible. ::le sigh::
Will they ever order new eps? Or will it just go unfinished? Also, do you think FoxKids will pick it up?

I think they are ignoring the show, hoping it will go away. And why not? They can get Japanimation for the fraction of the price it would cost them to make new episodes of Batman Beyond.

I believe the events after the ROTJ controversey kinda shook things up. I believe Paul Dini and Bruce Timm sort of had a semi-fallout. Timm went on to JL, and Dini went on to write scripts for a few movies. KWB really kinda ruined BB after they butchered ROTJ. After that I started noticing how lite the action started becoming. Look at some fight scense in seasons 1, 2, and the early part of 3, then compare them with the fight scenes in Curse of the Kobra pts. 1 and 2. They kinda got big on that whole censorship thing.

I don't think I'm speaking for myself when I say, "I'm really getting sick of freakin Johto Journeys."
Okay, okay Japanimation is cool and all, but darnit! Batman is...a tradition if you will. It's been on for generations! My motto is, "if It aint broke, don't fix it."
Now, I've never really, ever been an action cartoon watching kind of gal. I watched "Jem" that was as action-packed as it got for me. :)
Since this show came on, I'm interested in getting comic books, movies, going to conventions and everything. ::whispering:: I even created a super-villian alias for myself.
So what if I'm twenty! I like it! :D
::chanting:: Bring it back, Bring it back!

I agree with Mayhem here. I think that some of the season 3 episodes were trimmed abit. I can just tell CURS EOF THE KOBRA was. There are scenes in that episode with jumpy scene transition and jerky fight scenes. I think that was a victim to WB's "new" rules and regulations. As for Batman Beyond, no new episodes will be happing. The window for production on new episodes ended in January. BUT, when Cartoon Network picks up the series they will be airing all 52 episodes, including the unaired UNMASKED, as well as have the right to RETURN OF THE JOKER.

Wait, I thought once the series went to CN there would still be a chance for new episodes if the ratings were very good, and most of us knew this back when awe were expecting BB to be dropped by kidsWB right around Jan. and being picked up by CN to start airing right around Sept. Now if the window to order new ep's closed back in Jan. than even if things had gone the way we expected them to CN wouldn't have even had the opportunity to order new episodes because they would have started airing the series after the window to order new ep's closed.
Please, someone, tell me I'm wrong here, tell me there's still a chance for new BB ep's.

Well, January was the window for new episodes to be made and aired... on Kid's WB. However, after that window closed the creative team broke up and moved on to various other projects. So there we are.
